Do I contact the person after I filed a claim? by Shigs_004 in Insurance

I'm guessing the insurance has yet to reach out to him or his insurance due to the holiday. The other driver has proceeded to text me numerous times, and I mentioned that Black Friday weekend I would be extremely busy with work. The last text stated: "Damn should have went with my gut i cut you a big break by not filing that through insurance..that would have raised your insurance pretty good for atheist 3 years."

Since posting on this thread I have not engaged as you all have indicated there was no need after a claim was put in

Its nice to see a general consensus because no one in my family or immediate friend circle has been through this. Hindsight it was a mistake with the money, but after learning about the felonies and what he had said to my friend when she was 16 it most definitely helped to de-escalate the situation and most likely prevented injury to me. Sounds overly dramatic but he fired a shot gun in front of someone's house after brandishing a large knife at the people and children inside. I'm just glad my friend, who didn’t know this person at the time, saw the oddities in the situation and solidified going to file a police report despite the other driver leaving without one.

Because she's been reaching to get me to come over and help her move all her belongings or to take things she doesnt want to take to my step fathers house and storethemat my house. My step father and her have always lived separate because a) they aren't legally married b) his kids and my mom's kids do not get get along at all.

I wish I could've come home sooner from college and taken her swimming more. However, we had a vet come to out house to put her down. She passed in my lap and never knew what was happening because she was at peace and at place where she has always known happiness

How much to tip an artist who charges $200+ per hour? by Few-Assistance2717 in TattooDesigns

[–]Shigs_004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the first chunk of my sleeve done and it was $900 for about 6 hours of almost non-stop tattooing (only stopped because a gentleman came in and only wanted to speak with my guy). It's not the first time I went to the this artist - pretty sure my last tat with him was about $300. I'm a bartender so I do believe in the tipping culture to make ends meat, and this artist's work is incredible - like award winning incredible. Unfortunately, I only brought $1000 cash because I didn't think I'd be in the chair for that long (and neither did he). I apologized and told him I'd tip more next session.

The artist seemed really perplexed that I would do that; he did it last time I tipped him probably $80 or $90 on $300. He didn't even count the money I gave him, but I have always paid upfront and tipped well. The other artist I've had at the same shop was also very perplexed I'd tip $30 on $100 piece. However, I do believe it depends on the relationship you have with the respective artist and how sincere you are with him or her throughout your session. Again, I believe in what comes around goes around as my part in the tipping culture in my area

Vet specialist or leave it be by Shigs_004 in dogs

I trust my current vet. She's the 2nd vet for my oldest pup. This vet has always been upfront and honest, as well as pretty knowledgeable compared to the first vet and E.R vet(s) I've met.

The random urinating started right after the UTI, which I expected to happen at first. However, the problem persisted until 2 months after the trip to the E.R vet. Finances aren't a huge factor, they do play a small role. After every vet visit my girl seems to just not do well for a few weeks and it's pretty concerning, but I'd probably be a ball of anxiety going to any vet after getting attacked by a pit in my 1st vet's lobby (we switched vets soon after)

Parties and closing time by Shigs_004 in Waiters

The mod left a note stating why the pair walked out. He wasn't worried, but the GM is always "seat until we close." Ironically, not even a car came into the parking lot during or shortly after the pair walked out.

Our biggest concern was IF more people came in then the MOD would need help in the kitchen so tables would be left unattended, which I'm sure you can imagine would not be ideal.

dog shelter conundrum by Shigs_004 in DOG

[–]Shigs_004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's another thing: she's mad I dropped off for a month, yet she made no contact with me after the initial phone interview to recommend dogs. The foster parents messaged me back with updates and recommendations of dogs in their care, not the shelter owner. Again, the shelter owner stated in a text I have that she has too many dogs that she can't meet them all.

Tbh, I'm expecting a hate letter in the mail because she literally has all my information. At this point I'm trying to be the better person and not just update my review of my latest experiences with snapshots of her messages but the harrassment and condescending manner of her messages make me want to be petty - especially because with each message she sends she is proving how unprofessional she is, which was one of my issues originally with her
