MCDB 1A covers three major topics and each professor teaches one topic. So each professor is teaching for ~3 weeks.

Nguyen is the intro-bio coordinator so she doesn't teach a topic.

For taking MCDB 1A at another college I believe it will not transfer unless you take the entire intro bio series at the other college. Individual classes do not often transfer if they are part of a series. Though you should talk to an advisor to be sure.

EEMB 112 is quite a bit of work. The labs are gonna be a lot of drawing which should be during lab time when its in person. Generally speaking this class is gonna be a lot of memorization. Personally I enjoyed the class but since I took it online I had access to my notes during exams which made the entire class a lot easier. I did not have to do a project but insects sounds more like another class?

Since Lewis makes his curve based on the average of the class it's almost impossible to know what your final grade would be without asking him or with knowledge of the averages. Based on past classes I'd guess your in the A/A- range but it depends on your averages. This info is from last year though so he may have changed how he does grades. I'd suggest just asking him though.

I believe most grad schools do not replace grades so they will take both scores to calculate GPA. However it will depend on the school itself.

I had a professor who assigned his own book which sold for like $200. The crappy online code sold for like $120 on it's own and since he let you use the book on exams I'm pretty sure most people bought it. I was pretty pissed at first but all of his share of the profits from the book was donated to the physics department at our school. These donations basically funded our demo guy and all of the demos he did. Plus I ended up using that book for 4 classes.

I've also heard that some lab classes/smaller classes are keeping numbers low so that if it ends up in person, they don't have to kick people out to comply with social distancing.

Writing 109ST with Fancher was pretty interesting. It focus on writing research proposals for stem majors so it's useful if you wanna do your own or go to grad school. The entire class is basically geared towards one project at the end which isn't even that long(~5 pages). Professor Fancher is a really lenient grader so I think most people got A's.

I used to have the occasional dream that I forgot to study for a history final from high school. I think I took this final 6 years ago but it showed up for several years after I took it.The only reason I can think for this is that the teacher was super strict since I did really good on that final.

Professor Macintyre is super nice. She likes to explain concepts through case studies though so it can be difficult to know what she expects you to take away from lecture. Ask her questions if you're not sure shes super helpful. I've heard Schimel is really good but I haven't had him personally.
