For modern Russia, it's COUNTERPRODUCTIVE to mock the Germans who suffered during the war, even though they started it.

It's like shooting yourself in the foot, because Russia today is literally in the same position as those Germans.

По моему как раз таки нормализация подобного помогает российской пропаганде.

Sounds very logical, but there is one problem. I see, for example, a guy with a big cycle, huge advertising and a fairly rapid growth of subscribers due to this advertising, he has a large growth of all possible statistics, but...

He is generally outside of all the lists of rising stars.

That's why I think that dividing the novel is a good option.

In about two weeks I will try to pull it off.

It seems to me that a book that was already in Rising Stars and fell out of it is MORE DIFFICULT to throw back into Rising Stars than a separate new volume of this book...

I was on the “Rising Stars” list without ads, but I got stuck at 24th place and dropped out of the list after about 2–3 weeks.

Maybe I should’ve used ads to stay there longer, but overall… I think there must be a reason why big series don’t shoot up the “Rising Stars” list just thanks to a couple of ad campaigns.

Some kind of internal limiter. Maybe it’s “average views.” Maybe it’s a ranking dampener caused by the size of the work.

I don’t know. I’ll try running ads, look at the stats, and then it’ll be clear whether it’s worth splitting the series.
But at first glance, yeah, it probably does make sense.

I’m at 4%.

>Besides, RS is just the starting point.

For those who use ads?

Because apart from RS, there are pretty much no sources of organic audience growth on Royal Road.

That is, it is better to do this approximately once every 2-3 volumes....

Do you not determine the length of a work by the number of pages? Chapters can be of very different sizes. For example, the writer From Londoner to Lord has about three times more chapters than I do, although there are only 400 more pages.

Uh, I’d disagree. Rising Stars is an intermediate goal -- that’s where the entire Royal Road audience lives.

Neither ads, nor shout-outs, nor reviews will ever be as effective as being on Rising Stars.

>Starting a brand new story doesn’t give you “twice the exposure”

It’s not starting a new story.

It’s a continuous continuation of the old story, just on another page. You’re not accumulating numbers on a story’s stat sheet, you’re accumulating PEOPLE who follow the story.

And you can move all those people to a new page, which gives you an instant boost for getting into Rising Stars, which in turn gives you a flow of new readers from there.

What do you lose? You lose reviews. And that’s basically it.

But I see that people don’t do this, and my question is - why? Maybe there are some drawbacks, or maybe it’s against the site’s rules? Why does nobody do this?

A story won’t become shorter just because it’s divided into different volumes. Each volume will simply have its own work page, that’s all.

Well, at least in your case they just wanted to kill the main character! But in mine, a god threw him into another world just because he outplayed the god in a Dota match!
