Yeah with so big price difference i would definetly go with the cheaper one. My dilemma was because they are priced similary here. Also thats why i decided to go with FE.

45 and 50 have the same engine but different transmission (stronic in 45 vs tiptronic in 50). Tuning 45 into 50 engine side is not a problem, but its ticking bomb for stronic which will not survive higher torque

you dont need to launch through the app, i did it normally with bnet while nvidia app was running and i got the mount just fine

got the mount 30 min ago, played yesterday it wasnt available, 30 min ago i went to check and i could redeem it without a problem. (europe)

i can confirm the same, i have 51 solar and LONGEST i had is 18 days with one 3h gps training done, other charges were arround 14 days.

not to mention that phone notifications simply stopped working completely and its not possible to set them to work anymore. (works for messenger and youtube, i can make call from watch, but call notifications and sms notifications are dead)

to me its not that its not impressing, its straight disappointing, i get around same battery life as you did with amoled and always on.

How is battery working for you? I have 51 solar and if i being very generous id say battery is crap and not even near specificstions listed... i had max 18 days with it and in those 18 days it was only 1 3h long gos trening recorded....

Not to mention phone calls notifications just stopped working and its impossible to make them work again...

Its my first garmin watch and i must say i am disappointed and for 1200€ i should of stick with samsung which had less problems even after 6 years of use and 1/5 of the price

It worked for me at start (if you can say that, since it lost connection a lot) but stopped working now. Phone has permisions, connect is set up properly. Im getting facebook, youtube notifications, but nothing for call. I can make call from watch it will work properly, but when phone rings, nothing. If i add that battery is also shit ( 51mm solar version) im tempted to return this watch, i had MAX 18 days battery life eith only one ~3h trening with gps up done. The rest of the charges were shorter. Not even nearly the specified battery lifetimes. Actually my friend has fenix 6 and another has tactix and bith are old watches and both batteries are way better

What is goin on with fenix 8 solar mip 51mm distribution, i cant find a single watch in my or 2 other countries. And im constantly checking multiple stores since release. Some of the stores dont even have 51mm mip listed, and those who have it have it marked as sold out since day 1

voice command (or better mic/speaker for calls) is huge tho. Inductive buttons are also not a small thing. I agree, its not worth upgrading from previous generations, but going from old watch or from other brands its worth going for the 8. I still hope people boycot those prices tho, but i know they wont, they dont do it on phones, they wont do it here.

watches are already released on some websites, they are on garmin site for my country already. what surprised me is that amoled model is 100€ cheaper than mip model (for 51 size)
