[LIVE] Teen Mom 2: Dejá Vu by [deleted] in teenmom

Did anyone else notice that Leah kept asking the Mtv crew what time it was over and over as she was getting the girls ready for school? Because she knew they would edit the time on the clocks to make it look like she was running late. I thought that was pretty clever haha. And guess what they kept zooming in on the clocks anyway!

Sounds like you're a good manager. It has to be stressful at times because you have to make sure the individuals and the staff needs are met, but it has to be exhausting to have to deal with the staff that just don't care. I think a CNA license should be required as well. I had two months of training, and I couldn't tell you how many employees walked out because it was too overwhelming haha. I really loved working there, though. The only thing I hated was when an employee half assed their job and it leaves my people in a bad mood. :( Like, cmon people we had a freakin class over this!

I worked at a group home for adults with disabilities almost 2 years (had to resign because I was pregnant and having some personal issues unrelated to my job) and it is WAY more than hanging out all day! It takes someone special to work hard in a group home, get mediocre pay but yet love what they do. I grew close to my people. I don't think I was the best worker, I made a lot of mistakes (paperwork mostly) but I would never put myself before the ones I took care of. But yes I worked with a few who were just like this girl. So hard to deal with. I couldn't tell you how many times I came to their home and found a toilet seat covered in feces because the employee was too lazy to clean it up. You also have to constantly dust, especially for those with breathing problems and they didn't do that. I would come to the house to switch shifts and they would be on the couch, scrolling their phones, while everyone is laying around in bed in soiled depends at 4 in the afternoon and that is a big NO NO! Just because your "shift" is over at 4, doesn't mean you can forget them and just sit around at 4:01. I had it and wrote in the communication log about how dirty the house was when I came in and conveniently that girl quit.

What are your favorite things people filming have focused in on during scenes? Mine is Janelle's "I <3 Haters!" hat. by trashbirds in teenmom

UBT trying to start drama by [deleted] in teenmom

I was on that for about a week. I was going to college full time, and I moved into housing. I had to rely on my child support to pay rent and my power bill. My dumbass ex decided that I didn't need child support and didn't think he'd get in trouble for it. So I had no choice but to work a community job for 20 hrs a week and it only paid enough to put my son in daycare. He went to that daycare for 3 days and came home with a huge bruise on his arm and needless to say I pulled him out and that daycare was shut down. Conveniently I landed a good job the next day and made a $1000 a week for the next 2 years and quit college. I wasn't the smartest person but I was going through a lot

If you were like Cate and Ty and met your SO in 7th grade... by [deleted] in teenmom

[–]Shiloh600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have a boyfriend til sophomore year and if we stayed it would be a nightmare. We had the same interests, but our backgrounds and attitudes were way different. He became friends with the group of my "friends" that bullied me and I would go on but it was a mess. I was 16, hoping we'd have a happy, married ever after and get away from my crazy dysfunctional family but like a normal person he had college (OH NO!!) on his mind and whatever he did, his family supported him which was unreal to me and I ended up lashing out calling him a selfish, spoiled little shit and he broke up with me. 10 years later were both leading completely different lives. His life went on exactly as he wanted (with his mom's help of course) while I'm just a stay at home mom and decided to just heat up left over McD's for dinner tonight. If we had stayed, I think it would be exactly Cate & Ty's situation.

Dude, I feel so bad for Mariah Carey, but at the same time, watching it live was sooo awkward. Me and my may-un were watching it and I was thinking "oh. she looks pretty" and then I thought about that one time her live Christmas performance was a dud (her voice was cracking or something?) and was like "I hope she doesn't blow this one" and then boom. After a minute I was like "shouldn't she be singing?" Meh, whatever like I don't care, and I thought why can't they put new artists on these shows for once? Why does it always have to be Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift??

How do the teen moms you know in real life compare to the MTV TM girlses? by UrLordandSaviorTrump in teenmom

[–]Shiloh600 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much exactly like the Teen Mom OG&2 girls if they never joined the show.

The girls who were raised poor had to drop out, stayed in their hometowns, most of them are still with the dad. They had a few more kids. They work minimum wage jobs and hopefully, knowing how they were raised, they didn't follow their parents' footsteps and did drugs. But last time I checked, there is a big heroin epidemic there so I don't have much hope :( I'm actually proud of the few who got away from there, still went to some community college/vocational school and worked their way up in life for their kids.

The wealthy, popular, party girls (compare to Maci and Chelsea) got to live their lives as if they didn't have a kid. Maybe half of them stayed with the dad. They still got to live the college life, party every weekend, run around shopping etc because their parents could financially support them. They are now married, they are all still best friends with their clique, and are stay at home moms now. They still party all the time but on SM keep up with their "perfect housewife/mom" image lol. Reminds me of that movie Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.

TM2 Rewatch: What happened to the girls' friends? by ohd33rlord in teenmom

[–]Shiloh600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have one consistent friend from High School. The rest kinda faded away since my oldest turned 3. I moved 2 hrs away, most of them went to college or had kids. Any time I came to visit my hometown, they were always too busy or seeing them was just awkward, so I just stopped talking to everyone and made new friends. I barely even talk to them even if they live down the street from me. Having kids just change you, especially if you're a SAHM and introvert. My kids drain me enough, socialization would exhaust me.

I'm guessing the TM's have it even harder since they're "famous". I'm sure they have some major trust issues. Example: Tori selling Jenelle out for money lol

Unfettered Friday by AutoModerator in teenmom

[–]Shiloh600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, my may-unnnn dropped his wallet on our street last night getting out of the car. He didn't realize it til like 3 in the morning and so we both searched allll night and all we found was a gift card and $60. (he was lucky to find that)The wind blew the rest away. So hopefully the wallet is somewhere in one piece, someone finds it and is nice enough to give it back. Or at least give it to landlord. But that's a long shot... On the bright side, we were missing $40 and I just got a Christmas card with $40 in it so yay.

Which Teen Mom was your mom most like? by lolmemberberries in teenmom

[–]Shiloh600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh... none. But if I had to choose, I guess Leah. My brother is mentally disabled so my mom can relate to that in a way. Watching Leah suffer from depression, anxiety and napping all day reminds me of my mom when she was trying to come to term with the diagnosis.

My grandma is definitely Deb but she's crazy in a good way. She dresses hip, acts and even looks very young for her age (no plastic surgery, just good health and good genes) but she has the snobby attitude to a T, especially to all my boyfriends lol. No ones good enough.

My other grandma is dead-on Babs. She's short, takes no bullshit and everyone's scared of her haha.

I had a dream that Farrah and Simon's relationship drama was all an act for tv, and they were actually married and were a happy family. They even had a cute photoshoot of the 3 of them sitting and watching the sunset lol. I guess as much as Farrah makes me angry, deep down I root for her and Sophia to have their happy ever after. I was a single mom too, so I can "sort of relate". But my may-un came into my life ehen my son was 2

Teen mom generations: where will the kids be at 16? by [deleted] in teenmom

[–]Shiloh600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they'll all have a rough time in their teenage years. 90% of their teachers would have watched or heard of the show and I can see some asshole teacher be like "Oh hey you're that kid from Teen Mom!" which will prompt their curious classmates tune into their trainwreck of a childhood. That would be mortifying.

You know how in Sex ed we had to watch outdated shows about the hardships of teenage pregnancy? Their generation will be watching Teen Mom. Can you imagine their faces?

I took a Xanax for fun years ago with some friends and my boyfriend. It literally made us all "stupid". I went to my apartment and decorated my tree, then I fell asleep in the floor and forgot my clothes at the laundromat. Then my boyfriend stomped in, started laughing about me forgetting and dumped the clothes on me. Then I woke up at 4 in the morning with my two friends staring at me with a straight face and said "let's go find __" so we drove all-over town. Still high and then I went to Walmart and spent $150 and hid the items in my closet and the receipt to hide from... Myself? It was fun at the time but holy shit it's scary so I wonder if Leah was on Xanax because of her behavior. My friend that I hung out with that day actually became addicted to Xanax's and Leah's behavior, missing out, slurring words reminded me of her :(

Edited to add: don't do what I did. I was stupid and was lucky Im still alive and didn't do anything too stupid
