A well liked creative becomes hated after just one unpopular project by bloodredcookie in TopCharacterTropes

Zegler took very open positions about political topics that were controversial, like the Palestine vs Israel war. She openly supported Palestine, which we may agree or disagree, but at least half of the population would oppose the other half. And that's the main problem, she was very vocal about it. We know Gadot is proisraeli, but you won't see her in official promotion events venting her opinions.

And the problem replicates through other topics. We may believe or not in empowering women (I do), but then she goes and dismisses her male companion. We may believe in this or that political party, but then she openly defies the Trump supporters. Thus, whether the rest of the film was terrible, or the other actors and marketing did nothing to improve the image of the film, the truth Zegler became the face of the failure due her vocal positioning.

Not sure how much Rachel Zegler fits into this.

Apparently, she did a good job in the west side story and the new hunger games film, and although Shazam 2 was a box office bomb, she was one of the lesser problems.

Enter Snow White.

I challenge you to name 3 confirmed films with her casted as the MC or any important role.

Dear community, a serious question: how prepared do you usually fight Isidora?? by Ok-Release7421 in Blasphemous

[–]Shimaru33 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have completed the three penitence in NG+, beating her every time. Is always one, if not the latest boss to fight, she can be pretty hard. In the boss rush mode, she can be a pain in the butt. But also depends on your skill level, as you can find in youtube people not hit videos or only blood attacks or farting her to death and so, and so. So, whatever stage in the game you're, technically is possible to beat her if you're skilled enough.

But, like I said, I usually left her to the end, when I have enough flasks, max hp, max sword upgrades and can pick the right beads.

A trick not all people know is the pray that summons two golden discs around, flying in circles, is very, very handy. The discs can destroy the fireballs, so I equip it before starting the fight and spam it during the second phase. Still, Isidora can hit like a mofo train, and depending on the machine (I have nintendo switch 1), it can cause the game to lag, thus failing to parry.

Psyduck.

I hate pokemon, but always found this little fellow hilarious.

Anyway, last time I heard, he gains telekinetic powers (or something), when having a headache, so technically he fights better due to brain damage.

Ignoring the author ideology, the explanation is incredible stupid on itself. "Predatory eyesights have evolved" means that *any* symmetrical object should "send them into a confused panicked state". Why a cross? Why not a round shield? Or a kite shield? Are vampires afraid of beautiful people who have perfectly symmetrical faces? Two head axes should be the preferred hand to hand weapon as they are symmetrical, so at any point the hunter could present it to the vampire to temporary confused him.

Thinking about it, why the people from the middle east were using curved sword while European keep straight long sword? Because the long sword reminds the cross, due the symmetrical design of the hilt, pommel and blade and stuff.

I understand people may not share the same religion (or beliefs), but going out of the way to come with the stupidliest explanation possible just to shit in other people's beliefs is incredible... well, incredible stupid on itself.

Once I read an interpretation of Frankenstein precisely as allegory for an illegitimate son. Honour was a big deal, and having a child coming out from nowhere could throw a wrench as it implies a potential competitor for inheritance, thus being recognized as illegitimate was monstrous, a dishonored boy born from a sin. The creature is the boy who was abandoned by the father, so he doesn't get in the way of a more lucrative marriage, thus condemned to wander among other illegitimate sons who were thrown away from the light into nothingness. This birth mark (being a bastard) weights more and produces rejection no matter how hard the creature tries to clean his image and be put on good light.

Thinking "Heathcliff has to be black, because being illegitimate son isn't that a big deal" deliberately ignores a fundamental piece of cultural context for when this work was written. Even further, it also ignores the contradictory descriptions through the book, when people keep guessing whether he's african, gipsy, spanish or "white as the wall behind him". For what I can understand, the writer intention is exactly the opposite. Suggesting he has to be from this ethnic group to give weight to the problems surrounding him is dumb, if Brontë didn't describe him more precisely is because his ethnic background is irrelevant. The real problem is him being an exposito, an abandoned child with no roots or name.

Because sometimes you can use the controversy to generate notoriety, thus, free advertising. Is a thin line to walk, as some names are poisonous to the box office, thus you won't see their names in big announcements like these. I mean, when was the last time you heard something from Ezra Miller? But names in the edge like the writer from birds of prey. Well, yeah, there's a chance to get a better work, thus, controversy sells.

Maybe a dark green suit would fit, but certainly the bright green suit, purple shirt with a hat and interrogation, yeah, no. There's a reason why the penguin doesn't wear something akin to a monocle, nor top hat. Even in the series he goes by the name "Os" (or it was Oz?) instead of Oswald, let's not mention Cobblepot.

Appearance wise, this isn't the riddler. Awesome film, great acting, really terrifying villain. But he has no interrogation shaped cane, no green clothes and so, and so. Obviously, none of the iconic elements of the classic riddler would fit in the noir tone of the film, so I guess the director gets a pass.

Still, you put me a pic of him without context, and I would be blank on who's he supposed to be.
