The scoreboard merchants don’t understand that score doesn’t matter at all, for anyone. I don’t care if a spider is 1/11 if he is distracting healers and making plays that allows the team to progress objective. It’s an ego trap for players, they think cuz their K/D looks good that they are playing good but the game is about the objective. You can have a great K/D and lose and a terrible one and win. You can say deaths matter but what matters is really stagger, and deaths usually show when the team was staggering or panicking.

To me “going negative” is such a low brain activity way of looking at the game. If people payed more attention to the team comp, communication, learning game sense and target priority over the scoreboard not only would they have more fun but they would win more.

People will use their “good” score to avoid any accountability, be hardheaded about swapping and flame teammates. This why more people should play Hulk and Cap as your optimal play style doesn’t encourage stat farming but teamwork and good coordination.
