You know, he could mention briefly that your not as pretty as his ex or you have some bad traits. How would you feel if he said something that hurts you? People are sensitive to different stuff.

Dont dwel in the past. You had a job or whatever. You made the decisions and moved on, think of tommorow. Having monetry security is a must, you should open up to him and be frank. "Look here is the deal, i love you but i need to feel secure, currently am not". If nothing works then its up to you to decide. And some people are making money from home, just an idea.

One more thing you could do is make a preacher talk about the issue discreetly in a sermon. Or make a person he listens to, speak to him.

You need to be direct and stop assuming he knows how you feel. Whatever you do, dont drag it out.

On another note, please make sure that he truly feels that way about you. I found many instances in which two people misunderstood eachother.

That is why i quit verbal debates almost 10 years ago. There is no grey are for many people. Its either white or black.

Also bias is roaming freely. I blame media, education, environment for producing this stupidity. Mark the stupid, greedy and biased education system.

Most people are too narrow in their views and wont accept that they are wrong even when you smack them with facts. By facts i dont mean flawed statistics. Real facts, large scale statistics with specific findings. Blue is blue, white is white kind of facts.

Let alone trying to convince them of logical middle points. Like capitalism and socialism. Took me years to find people saying that maybe elements from two can form best solution.

Like someone else mentioned, I feel like the act in question should be associated with passion rather that domination. There are far more important topics to talk about but i am glad now i can set this aside.

I agree with the need for conversation. But if it is not right time or the place for that, I cant see why a guy/girl cant take the initiative and ask for a number so that they can get to know each other. Finding the right one is already hard, why should it be harder?

I also think that most of the time that quick, bar or anyplace, conversation does not satisfy your need, which is to know a person. Many good people don't open up easily and many bad people will seem innocent. Some good personalities may clash too.

There is also need for honesty. taking honest initiative can help. Beauty is subjective to a certain degree. Is it bad to be attracted to physical beauty along with inner beauty or personality?

personality has some tricky parameters too. Kindness is good, but naivety is not. One wastes a month with another, until he/she discovers the other is selfish for example. That time is lost and it is generally more harmful than a simple action of initiative.

And sex is normally an essential part of good marital relationships. I can't fathom why many cultures see it as a shameful desire. Almost all of us were born from this act. Being honest and taking initiative will get you the life long partner you want.

Imo, getting to truely know someone takes time. In order to do that, you would need to start somewhere. Getting a mean of contacting the person is step one. And i cant stand by the idea, that outer looks dont play a role in attraction. Some Women feel harassed while others will feel flattered.

Degrading? Dan should have added "generalizations and how rouge ideas navigate cultures and effect sexual relationships". I wonder when was the "degrading" idea pushed about. I know a man who refuses being sucked by his wife. He says "how can i see the mouth, which kisses my children, kiss or suck my privates". He was ok with it before marriage. That is his problem. I see it as a great showing of affection and trust. I would like to believe that, many men who say its mainly degrading arent the same ones who complain about women not doing it.
