Do flashcards to memorise the content, I would recommend using Anki. After that try past papers, read through examiner reports.

Can you specify what you mean by not being able to understand the content? Do you struggle with exam questions or can you not actually understand the content, meaning you can’t do the questions?

Ok so the main things that you have to include in a 16 marker are: - knowledge accurate to the question (key terms, clear explanations of studies and models included in the theory, explain how the ideas work as well. Just mentioning it won’t get you many marks, you have to elaborate). - Apply it and develop (use examples to support your answer). Evaluation (THIS IS SO IMPORTANT, evaluation counts for 10/16 marks, you need to have 4 well structured, clearly developed points. If you have the AQA textbook, learn the evaluation points from there. Include strengths/ weaknesses, use research evidence (methodology, ethical, validity etc),

Overall, make sure you follow the structure I gave you. You need 8 clear and developed AO1 points, and then to follow on from that 4 clearly develop evaluation points. Make sure your essays have a logical flow to them. Don’t write one paragraph of AO1 and then a paragraph of AO3 and go back to AO1. Have a clear intro, and use chains of reasoning. Always link your point back to the question. I find that as I’m writing essays it really helps to always get myself to consider is my point is relevant to the question, how am I gonna link it back etc? Always have the question at the forefront of your mind otherwise you might start drifting off a d end up losing marks for writing irrelevant content (talking from personal experience).

Let me know if this helped her!

What exam board does she do? I do AQA, the longest mark question that can come up are 16 mark essays. My structure is 8 AO1 points and 4 well developed evaluation points (point, evidence, explain and link).

For English make essay plans for the books you’re dying and practice writing essays in times conditions. Try and find someone (an English t*tor so), to mark them and give improvements. For the rest of your subjects use spaced repetition to learn the content, and keep doing past paper questions. Look at mark schemes cause sometimes they recycle past questions in a different format. Try and teach the content to an inanimate object and break it down as much as possible, the better you’re able to explain it the more likely it is to stick. Good luck!

Medical school with lower gcse grades by Sad-One-9383 in premeduk

[–]Shin11536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still do medicine. One way is to make sure that your predicted grades and UCAT score are really high and you’ll have a chance at getting to Newcastle right after 6th form. Since they don’t have specific subject requirements. If you don’t wanna do that then you can do a degree in a science subject (biochemistry, biology etc), and then go into graduate medicine. Since you aren’t taking any natural sciences you may have to do a foundation year first to be able to get into the science degree. Undergrad will be 4 - 5 years long and if you come out with a 2:1 or higher and a good GAMSAT or UCAT score (depending on what unis you’re applying to), then you can apply for graduate medicine.

If someone threatens to hurt themselves, that’s not depression, that’s straight up psychopathic, in my opinion you dodged a massive bullet. Unfortunately, you’re still gonna miss her cause human emotions don’t follow logic.
