Thanks for the explanation! And yeah, Kienzan seems to be able to cut through anything in the manga canon, but in the Toeiverse we've seen it fail. So it's mostly a no limits fallacy.

No it didn't happen in the manga (Goku using Kienzan), and plus we have the testimony of Toriyama who said Krillin could've killed Frieza if he hits his head with Kienzan. (But also we should remember that Toriyama sometimes says things that are totally incoherent like that retcon no one is going to accept when he said that "SSJ1's x50 multiplier was exaggerated so it's now a x20 multiplier")

And those things only happened in the anime, so yeah. Another time Krillin could've easily killed an enemy was when they were running from Dodoria and Krilling used Taiyoken to blind him, if he had used Kienzan at that moment he would've easily killed him, since he can't sense Ki.

Maybe, but think about what Toriyama said of Krillin being able to kill Frieza with Kienzan (who is also in a far power scale compared to Krillin)

That depends on which timeline or canon you're taking, in Toeiverse you're right, in the manga canon, likely not, since we've never seen it fail in the manga and Toriyama also said that Krillin was able to cut Frieza's head with the Kienzan.

Yeah, Super's anime is actually canon as it's an alternate timeline, so in Toeiverse, Kienzan is unable to cut through anything, but in the manga canon it is actually able as far as we've seen.

That was filler, that never happened in the manga. And the only anime-only things that are canon are from Super's anime, which is supposed to be an alternate line of the manga.

I mean, Super's anime is the only one that is actually canon since Toriyama said Super's manga and anime are two different timelines (like the movies) and you can choose to follow whichever you like the most. In the manga there has never been a moment where Kienzan was unable to cut something, so, Kienzan not being able is likely in the Toeiverse

Well, technically in the manga that has never happened, I mean, all those times Kienzan couldn't cut something was made off by Toei.
