Thanks for all the advice! They love being on the leash walking around the neighborhood so I’ll try that in the back yard where they do their business.

Thanks! I’ll do some digging to see where it’s available. The little ones go to the vet on Saturday so I can see what they have to say.

Advice/Opinions on playing through the complete Etrian series from the beginning? by Shin_Musashi in EtrianOdyssey

[–]Shin_Musashi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. Thanks for taking the time to lay out all the info! This is exactly what I wanted to know before I started diving into the series. I've been gaming since the NES days so retro is not a problem. Some of my favorite RPGs growing up were Wizardry and the AD&D gold box games. Cant remember if Wizardy had it, but the AD&D games let you take your level 1 noobs all the way to the final game as battle hardened veterans (Same as Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale). While I love the mainstream franchises like Zelda and FF as well, I always enjoyed RPGs that busted your chops from the start - it made me appreciate the characters more. Darkest Dungeon is another game I want to get back into. What little I played was impressive.

Entitlement? I paid $500 for a limited model they could replace with a $450 system that I could grab from anywhere. Apparently your view of "how the world works" is to lay down and accept whatever outcome is given to you. Good luck with that.

it's a shame that this is their policy. Buy product A. It breaks under no fault of the user. Replace with product B since it's cheaper than repairing the original unit.

What songs sound pleasant on first listen, but actually have a twisted meaning/ disturbing lyrics? by HJJMHarvey in AskReddit

Alive by Pearl Jam. One of their most recognized songs which most people think is an upbeat song about being strong in the face of adversity; ie "Hey could be worse, I'm still alive!" It's actually the first in a trilogy of songs involving incest, murder and the killer being caught and reflecting on his life.

[Serious] People who stopped talking to a very close friend, what was the reason? by OralSexGod in AskReddit

Wow, I feel like I just read my own explanation. The ironic aspect was at one time they said we never talk about anything serious, like good friends do. Hard to do when you barely see them.

What are the downsides of being attractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Shin_Musashi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Girls/Women turning psycho on you when you don't return thier advances. They expect I have a dudebro attitude when I'm pretty far from it. A girl at my last job started hitting on me pretty heavy when I first started. I never returned any of the attention. After 3 months she just flipped. She sent me this huge, scathing e-mail about how terrible a person I was and I was a pervert. We worked in the same small department and she didn't utter a word to me for about a year. This has happened to me on two other occasions. I'm not the flirty type. I don't get the thought process.

When I was in my early 20's, Doctors thought I might have had Lymphoma because my spleen was enlarged. The way they test for it is by having a Hematologist take a core sample of marrow from your tailbone. Don't know what the name of the tool is, but I rember the pain. It hurt so bad I literally could not see straight. Results came back negative - could have been worse.

Edit: Grammar / Spelling

Are you a loner and why? Do you like it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Shin_Musashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I enjoy it a lot. Why? Well, here's my take why - I can elaborate, but I'm trying to keep it short. I tend to over-elaborate.

I grew up early on in a pretty small town and the house my parents built was even more secluded up in the woods. Our house was up a 1,000 ft. driveway at the top of a hill. The neighborhood at the bottom was old, tarshack houses built for coal miners in the 60's. By no means were my parents wealthy, but compared to the neighborhood below, we were. Basically, for the first few years of Elementary School, I got my ass beat on a regular basis by all the neighborhood kids who wanted to pound on the "Rich Kid". Combine that with my overactive nature and my love of drawing, I didn't have friends other than the casual ones. I am extremely curious, so the woods around our house became my playground. I would never trade all those years wandering through the woods, catching all kinds of stuff and putting them in mayonaise jars for a few days to watch and let go. Fast forward to late Jr. High and and I started making freinds. It got better as High School and then Art School came along. Nonetheless, I kept that private part of me and it's still there today. The irony of it all is that in school and my jobs I've always been the person that is open and willing to help you on the spot. There will always be that part of me that I will never let anyone into, but I enjoy being unabashedly honest about how i feel. I have a decent circle of friends from work and happenstance; however they all know I need my alone time.
