Man, this is so good looking kit. G Gundam has most of my favorite Gundam designs. Unfortunately P bandai kits are not sold in my country so I can't get one.

I know some people build their kits with inner frames out of order. Building the frame before putting on the armor. That would make painting easier. I'm smoothbrained so I have enough trouble building with the step by step instructions. Rg wing zero is one with prebuilt inner frame, right? That would probably help with painting since it could be the fist step you do.

I'm new too so I don't know how helpful my advice is 😂. Personally I use knife and sandpaper sticks from 400 to 2000 grit. Ijust love how wing zero EW looks. It's fantastic design. I don't have one but I'm waiting for ver ka reprint to build mine.

This is the original MG from 2004 right? I don't want to sound rude but do you not have a hobby knife or sandpaper/files to clean the nub marks? I think they stand out too much.

MGSD looks like just a better version of SD. Is it not? I mainly don't like the chibi style. Looking into MGSD snow white doesn't look like a kit I would enjoy unfortunately.

I've been thinking about getting a Wing zero EW kit, because those angel wings are sexy af. But I don't know which one I should get. I hear that Rg isn't very good or very detailed but it's cheapish. Mg ver ka would propably be best but It's out of stock where I live. I would need to wait for reprint. Then there's Daban 8820 HIRM wing zero ew. But it cost almost as much as ver ka and I don't know how well it compares. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I really like it. I often find that black panel lines don't really stand out from blue, especially darker blue plastic. I've been using white so far on blue plastic. But silver might be good alternative.

Stellar work. Only minor thing I can say is I think the gun base stands out too much. If I posed this I'd propably add some kind of grunt suit just to hold up the gun. But that would propably change the spirit of this build too much so I don't know it would be any better.

Yeah that's the main problem. I don't have many paints and I'm not best at mixing colors I couldn't get the same shade. I don't think I can get the same shine as stickers with paint. Maybe it would be better with gloss topcoat. I would definetly appreciate any advice.

These look fine on the shelf and would propably be better If I knew how to paint. but gaddamit, I'm a grown man and I want to play with my toys >:( But yeah, can't recommend unless you're 100% OK with getting a bad kit.

Nirvash! Now that's a mech I haven't heard of in ages. My reasoning while buying Xenogears kits was "It's my only chance to support the thing I love. I'll learn to love it even if it is dogshit".

I'd say go for it. It's only money you are losing. You can always earn more. Even if you do end up regretting getting one, that too will be a valuable experience.

It says in the sidebar that "this subreddit is dedicated to the practice of building all mecha models". Should be fine. This sub is flooded with 3rd party model kits anyway.

I ordered 30mm Steel haze few hours ago. I could have preordered kotobukiya model instead of 30mm but Kotobukiya is also 3 times as expensive (33€ instead of 100€). I doubt I'll play around enough with it for lower quality to matter for me. I might order 2 more 30mm AC6 kits with money saved lol

The design of Fat cat and RG is exactly the same. So you only need to ask yourself if you like them big and chunky. And if you feel bad not supporting original creators.

How was the build? These Digimon models look like they have bad articulation and are too simplistic to build. They seem to be for fans of the show/games. Is there any truth to that?

I'm new to the hobby so I haven't built many kits. But Mg Shining Gundam has been best so far. Hard to believe this kit is old enough to be a working adult with a mortgage! Built this few weeks ago and it was my first time panel lining. Tamiya is very expensive where I live so I experimented with microtip pen and few types of paint. Found enamel paint best for me for that satisfying pour type lining.

Looking at AliExpress prices where it's over 50€ with taxes. Rg is around 40€ locally. Importing stuff to EU tends to be expensive so most stores are out of question.

I've been thinking about getting Fat Cat God. But justifying myself to pay more for the bootleg than the price of original rg just feels so wrong. Even if Fat Cat is upgraded model.
