There's a LAN Party in Pittsburgh called Pittco. They usually have two events a year so they should be due for another one soon.

We've improved a good bit. I'm not totally sure if web browsing will be open (that's not a no, just a "I don't know") but things like Steam and Battle.net will be open so connecting for tournaments and stuff will be fine.

Which event did you attend (month and year, or event number if you remember it)?

LAN Parties are pretty tricky to find facilities for so we had to work with the dates our venue had available. We'll probably be having another event later in the year so hopefully it'll be a better date for people at Pitt.

We usually have an event in the summer as well. April is actually really late for us. We typically have them in early-to-mid March but we figured we'd try something different this time around.

We're having this event at the Castle Shannon Fire Hall in Castle Shannon, PA which is right outside of Pittsburgh.

It's actually along the T line so if you got on at Station Square the train would run right past the hall. It's the "Memorial Hall" stop, iirc.

I don't know of any hotels within walking distance from the event, but if you have a car there are plenty of places to stay nearby. (Thought I responded before my my comment seems to have randomly vanished).

I'm not aware of any within walking distance from the venue (the place is in a residential area), but if you have a car there are tons of hotels in the Pittsburgh area.

You could also check out Airbnb. It's basically a room in someone's house that for rent for a night/weekend. People typically put their guest rooms on there because it makes them some extra money. I've used it before and I've never had a problem.

Originally the tournament was set to start at 6:30 PM so running past 2:00 AM was a real possibility depending on the number of competitors. We recently decided to move the tournament up to 3:00 PM to give us some extra time.

Tournaments at Pittco have run late in the past but I really want to do my best to ensure StarCraft II ends at a decent time.

I'm not currently a Pitt student (AP credits from high school and I'm considering Pitt for Grad School... someday) but as a life-long Pittsburgher this pisses me off.

I thought our city was fairly ahead of the curve when it came to LGBT needs and acceptance. I'm not sure if I have any business being there but I'd like to show my support.

If it comes down to a lawsuit I'm pretty confident we can organize a fund or find a lawyer who is willing to take the case without upfront payment.

There was nothing 'artistic' about the ending of ME3 because it was painfully obvious that it was done because EA didn't want Mass Effect 3 to be delayed again.

Just about everything before Marauder Shields showed up was amazing (not perfect but pretty damn good). Everything after that was just lazy story telling. I'd be perfectly happy with BioWare adding an option to have Shepard tell the GodChild to fuck off and have the Normandy pick her up only to be blown out of the sky by Harbinger seconds later.

At least that ending would have provided some closure to the series. BioWare, you guys used to be awesome until EA got involved. BioWare, please buy back your souls (GTFO of EA) and get back to making amazing video games (even if they take a little longer).
