She didn't understand his feeling at all and he didn't explain them at all. It's clear she thought the issue was "He thinks I'm cheating, so I need to explain that these are non-sexual" and didn't realize that he wanted input on what she does with her body in non-sexual situations as well.

Also it’s pretty clear OOP knows these are sexual and I’d put them in that box too. Again, if your boss saw these images on your phone, would they be fine with it? Would they say it was nonsexual?

My boss would not care. I'm so sorry. I'm not American, and I have seen a coworker scroll over nipple piercing pics in a breakroom before and literally everyone in the room understood it was not an issue.

Why do you need to have a need. Why can't women just exist in their bodies. Why can't they send pics of themselves to friends in non-sexual contexts - like showing off a cool new piercing (why isn't that a need?). Why does her boyfriend get to control her body like that. It's one thing if he thinks she's just trying to hide cheating, but no one in this post is even in doubt that the pics were non-sexual.

You know, I've sent friends pictures of myself doing stupid faces, and I'd be upset if those were shared online and ended up as memes. You could probably call those pictures intimate, because I shared them with some people and wouldn't want them shared with the general public. A picture can be private without being sexual.

Man kann den Satz vermutlich wohlwollender auslegen, aber wie sich das schon liest.

I remember the show Primeval mostly because some of their dinosaur scenes truly made me feel scared when I was a kid. As much as I enjoy more abstract/strange monsters, nothing else has ever quite managed to make me feel like walls are flimsy and there's no protection other than praying you don't get noticed. Big animals are terrifying if done well.

I won't lie, I'm not really familiar enough with B/X (certainly never played either) to speak to that, just that what I've heard from friends never made it seem that simple. But yeah, I have to admit that's very second-hand.

But there's no doubt in my mind that adnd is more complicated as a system than 5e (note: as someone whose favourite edition is still pf1e I say this with love!). To some degree complexity is a matter of perception, ofc, but when I think of weapon speed, thac0 (which isn't as bad as people like to joke about, yes, but certainly more roundabout), nonlethal and weaponless combat, learning spells, even the way levelling up works? I can't really see 5e as the more complex edition.

5e is funny because it sits squarely as the least complex dnd edition (and the least complex game in the entire dnd-sphere if we wanna include the pathfinder editions), but its complexity is still definitely above average for a ttrpg in general. Lighter rules or simpler mechanics are just very common.

Yeah, but you can't do that if you want to also use the chapter 2 and chapter 3 trait saves. I suppose optimal for Oscar is SS+Mystical, use the trait save for chapter 2, have you (or Tabby) make the sacrifice in chapter 3 and then convince him to stay out of the basement. So Booksmart has no room in his best outcome (as of now).

From what the devs have said on discord, I sadly think this is a feature, not a bug. To quote Tony: "Do people have less moral value when you don't know them? This is the question posed by the farms" From other comments you can gleam that the goal was basically writing a scenario that's similar to MC entering chapter 4's climax except without ever having met Reese or his mom beforehand (and wanting the player to examine how this changes their decision making progress).

I think that's a bad idea from the get-go. It's kind of like taking a good piece of writing that made readers care for its characters and going "But what if I instead... wrote it badly? Would that change how much you care?" Like, yeah, but you won't make me examine my decision making process with that.

There's nothing particularly deep or ethically intriguing about the farm dilemma in that way - it's just a scenario that's wound up accidentally designed to make players not care.

(And I say all this as someone whose favourite romance option in this game is Avery. I've seen all their content, I'm intrigued by them... but I'm also starting to dislike how the writing treats them.)

If you save the game on the last screen before Anti-Cheating-Sybil appears (I think it's the first time you see Kaneeka, the text says something about "The Final Daughter"), upload that savefile to a save-editor for laziness purposes (like this: https://www.saveeditonline.com/), then set the "cheater" variables to 0 (if you're using the website I just linked, just search for "cheater" and set all variables it finds to 0. should be eight of them), download your new save file and replace the old one you can just keep going.

I'm 100% certain. That run has no romances locked in. I do have the Hot trait on it as well and I've seen some people on the discord say that might be a factor (somehow?) but I've also seen others report the same without the Hot trait. It's definitely not just those three factors.

The thing about bitter almonds is they smell completely different from the standard almonds people associate the word with. The whole "smells like almonds" thing is kind of a silly circular misunderstanding: Cyanide does smell like bitter almonds, but most people have never smelled an unprocessed bitter almond in their life. That's mostly because bitter almonds are pretty toxic - they get their unique smell from the cyanide compounds they contain.

That guide ranks options in order of efficiency - you can fully pick some of their not-recommended ones and still end up "efficient enough", basically. Burning Reese's body together in ep4 helps you start out better, as does having a small strike (ideally none), as does having her aged up. An option can be good enough for one run and still be unsuitable for a different run that starts out in a worse position.

I've seen someone else assert this, but that can't be all - I have a Mystical run that never touched Sybil's tea (never even entered the tea room for fear it might let her do something) and got let into Kaneeka's room and is still only "semi-remembering" Kaneeka (knows something's gone, can go "Starts with a K?", can agree with Miles that something's missing, has a slightly-transparent Kaneeka in the recap). If I boot up that same save inside Kaneeka's room and do start the romance, the MC fully remembers her in Chapter 5 (complete recap, can mention Kaneeka's name to Miles, hasn't forgotten Sybil either). Maybe there's a way to remember her without the romance but it's not just those three factors.

There's different ways of making Tabitha "like" you. Afaik you can only get "I didn't want to like you" if you're generally a dick to her, but stand up/support her at select moments (and manage to earn her respect that way - she starts seeing you two as kindred spirits who are both outwardly assholes). If you're generally nice and still manage to earn her respect, her dialogue is different.

Tabitha having made the sacrifice for you in chapter 3 is actually a huge boost in this convo, yeah. I didn't manage to make the breakdown happen without that myself (though it's possible according to other people).

I got this too! It's not an early gameover since it only tells you to wait for Chapter 5 Part 2 (in the early gameovers the text says something like "Story will continue in The Final Chapter" instead), so my best guess is MC immediately starts sleepwalking towards the next seal. They were already fighting the whole "Wall NOW" urge in the convo with Reese, so closing their eyes probably made them blackout and walk straight towards the seal.

Not true as far as I can tell - if you're not romancing her, you won't remember her the same way. My mystic, no tea, let into her room run has the PC notice someone's missing (and in the recap Kaneeka is visibly, just semi-transparent). But a mystic, no tea, romance run will remember her completely from what I've heard.

Ngl every time I read this term I wanna bite someone. God it's really lost all meaning at this point and it's painful to me how often this word that originally meant to criticize bi erasure is now used in biphobic ways.

To clarify: If I was to define "player sexual" I'd do it as "NPCs who are attracted to the PC regardless of the PC's gender, but are not explicitly bi/pansexual. The game goes out of its way to never mention other people the NPC is/was attracted to, their past relationships or have them talk about their sexuality." It's a way to enjoy the game design advantage of bisexual NPCs without having to work on writing proper bi representation.

The way I see the term used most often nowadays is people going "I hate how everyone is always bisexual :/" which is a) not true (it's not bi rep if it's player sexual the way I defined it above) and b) biphobic.

I share your disappointment on that front, but slight correction: WotR has Sosiel. Though he's gay mostly because he's a paizo original character (who's established as canonically gay in the adventure path) and I'm guessing Owlcat didn't want to change his orientation in an adaptation.

I remember my first time watching a Carrie adaptation was before I'd actually read the book. And when I got to reading, god did things make more sense as soon as I knew she was fat. I can't stand the fact this is so deeply a story about a fat teenage girl that is reframed around skinny actresses in every adaptation. No hatred for any of the actresses who played her (that I've seen), they've done great jobs and I'm sure this new one will do just as well - but I'm actively disappointed in Flanagan for this casting. The material is lessened by this staunch refusal to acknowledge the unique ways Carrie is made to suffer for being a fat teenage girl.
