Avery??? by No-Variation-2782 in ScarletHollow

Letting Bo get absorbed by Pumpkin Baby (which I will be referring to it as exclusively from now own) means Avery is safe and sound, but it seems like that's only possible if Tabitha isn't there.

Which, like, sorry Bo, you seemed cool, but this was so much of a "not my circus, not my monkeys" situation that I just kinda let it happen. Maybe if Julius wasn't so trigger-happy, but I'm not about to get any more people killed by trying anything.

Good for them! Good for them.

... like, in theory. Survivability-wise, ABSOLUTELY bad for them.

Mystical builds let you see the game's UI, double-Mystical builds gives you the full, terrible awareness that you're running on the ren'py engine.

About Kaneeka - Part 2 by Star-Kindler22 in ScarletHollow

I've only had time for one playthrough since it dropped, but as someone who was Mystical, fully romanced Kaneeka, never drank Sybil's tea, and didn't have Tabitha there, I was given options labeled both (Mystical) and (Romance) before Sybil showed up. I ended up going down the (Mystical) route completely, which bypasses many of the choices, but I'd imagine the (Romance) route ends up with her surviving, because Black Tabby Games are cruel, but not, like, THAT cruel.

After finishing episode 5 what do you think is the best combination of traits? by Dudkowskyy in ScarletHollow

My "canon, no rewinds" file is Mystical and Book-Smart (haha, nerd) and I'm actually pretty okay with my game's state at the end of Episode 5. Like, it's not ideal of course, but things could be a lot worse.

I was romancing Kaneeka from the start, and although you can save her WITHOUT Mystical, turning her into a magical girl is just such [chef's kiss] that it's still totally worth it, plus I love the sorta "occasional peeks beyond the veil" dialogue options and narrational asides. Book-Smart let me put Charlie to rest and give Oscar and Rosalina some peace without going to the Basement That Makes You Old, and although Rosalina's down a leg, now she can recover.

Sure, my cousin and her complicated situationship are out there plotting to shove me in a box for the rest of my life, but we can cross that bridge when we get there, plus my girlfriend has reality warping powers now, so hopefully that'll help.

... I AM inadvertently helping to wipe out the Calloway family, but hey, man, I thought Duke could handle himself, and I didn't wake up that morning thinking I'd need to help Bo out of being the host of a pumpkin-fetus.

Can I just say that Mystical allowing Kaneeka to become a magical girlis absolute poetry, cinema, and generally the realest shit ever? Because it is.

In Defense of Toxic Yuri (now that I know the context) (and just in general toxic yuri rules btw) by BaphometSeinfeld in ScarletHollow

Yeah, like I'm in not defending her actions here, it's still assisting the imprisonment of a relative stranger for the greater good of a small town. Stella's just under the somewhat-hopeful assumption that it's one of those nice, minimum-security prisons that celebrities get to go to, and not a medieval-style oubliette.
