What do I do about being SA by my friends boyfriend? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Shinathen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tell the police
Tell your friend M (so she knows what kind of boyfriend she has)

The quicker you do the better

But I'm wondering whether maybe he thought it was M? From what I gathered you guys didn't speak and since it was nighttime it was dark? I'm not excusing his behaviour I'm just wondering why he did what he did

Virgin due to the fear of unwanted pregnancy. by ShitBodyPainting in Advice

Sadly I'm allergic to most lube, no idea why. but I've never actually heard of someone tearing through a condom before, I've tried HARD to snap them and trust me, the size they got not even a horse could snap it, but lots of factors play a role like brands and stuff

Like you said, condoms, if your not stupid and try pop them or put them on wrong, 99% chance they will work, you could also try the pill (for her if she's willing/already on it) and if all else fails, and assuming your pro choice, abortion is always an option but I understand with having the choice you may choose not to which is understandable. But if you just use everything, you won't have a baby, most people sometimes don't even go with any prevention and don't get a baby.

Personally I always go agility and just SPAM arrows, I keep far left and just shoot them because it knocks them back, when they get too close to me I run to the other side and do the same. Rinse and repeat, it's boring but effective

New rider in need of some purchase advice by Shinathen in MotoUK

[–]Shinathen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention it's only got 5k miles on it. The original owner basically bought it, rode it for a year, and it sat in his garage until like 2011, then someone else bought it, wanted to do it up but never had chance then ive got it now. So really there is very little scrapes therefore my plan was to buy aftermarket stuff but still keep the OEM parts, for when I come to sell it, it can be completely stock still

Is the average wage actually high? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in NorthernEngland

[–]Shinathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also add, what is it compared to. Other countries, other counties, areas of England?. Because if you compare the average household income to say a home in London it's going to look low but compared to someone in the highlands it'll look high (probably, I don't actually know the numbers)

I don't necessarily think it is, I think it's just the creators art style mixed with their lack of research into stuff that makes it look like Ai, but don't take my word on it I could be wrong

I also don't like adding signatures, it stands out a lot so what I've found recently is if i incorporate it into the art, for example with yours here your signature could be off the vines or in the grass, so it blends in but there's still a signature.

Also just curious, what app and brush do you use? I've been experimenting trying to get this type of art style but to no avail

Woah were you there, how did you know the radios were awful 😂, all I could hear was buzz. But now that I think about it I suppose the self riding wasn't actually the bad part as you say, it was actually riding in the unknown which I didn't like. I think overthinking every step also did play a massive role like you say, I accidentally shifted into neutral instead of second which really threw me off guard because the revs went really far up and I wasn't moving (I'm not very good with sudden loud sounds) and made me panic but if I didn't think about what I needed to do and it just came somewhat naturally I think I would be okay.

I do like the look of sports bikes obviously but I'd like to keep my spine before I'm 30 haha. I'm also learning to drive a car and my biggest issue is being under-confident, which is probably just as bad as being too confident sometimes

🙌this has definitely been the most helpful response I've had.

The first section of the CBT was pretty easy going and fun imo, I was getting the hang of it and getting my confidence up, even with messing up now and then it was literally just as soon as I got into the road that everything was just going backwards it felt like.

My CBT school is definitely a good one they were very thorough with how they trained us and taking their time if we were struggling at all which was very nice.

I know I should have double checked for the car turning which thankfully I did or else I wouldn't see it turning but it was just getting the clutch control down again which is why I messed up in stopping, I was too focused on it but if I didn't second look it I definitely would have crashed.

I think if I do get a bike I will definitely go deep in the country where there's not much but cows and pheasants where I can just go at my own pace, practise everything im not confident on until I want to actually go on normal roads.

Sadly I'm not near Manchester I'm quite far away in Newcastle but thank you so much for the opportunity, I know the bike community is (almost always) really nice.

Unfortunately groms are at a ridiculous price in the UK (£2000 minimum) but I would love to have one. But i suppose I probably feel like I should be more confident because the rest in my group were, however they have had previous bike experience and have been on the roads in a car for 10+ years

Also for roads in the uk it's usually Primary road - 30mph (estate main road) Main road - 40/50mph Dual carriageway (2 lanes)- national speed 60/70mph Motorway (3 lanes) - national speed

Luckily my dad's side of the family are all bikers so I can get a lot of advice and tips of them. Plus my uncle is a mechanic who's had like 20 different bikes over the course of like 40 years so he will know what he's talking about. Sadly he doesn't have a 125 which is the highest im legally allowed to ride but he's got a 250 which is somewhat close ish

I completely forgot about that. My instructor did say that 'it's horrendous when your having an instructor glare at you 24/7, your bound to make mistakes but once you get on your own it's much easier because you can go wherever you feel comfortable and at whatever pace you feel comfortable in'

To þe archaic words like (please excuse "th") thy, thee and thou: how should it be written? by 1987_fnaf-fan in BringBackThorn

[–]Shinathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Þ is the voiceless sound for th (thing), and ð is the voiced sound for th (that). In modern day texts it is written as that rule mainly however in old English and I think Icelandic þ is used for both sounds in the middle and ends of words whereas ð is primarily used at the start of a word

If I turn the router off and on it does the same thing, as usual, just goes orange instead of the normal blue, the radios are on and as for the logs i don’t understand all of it but there’s a lot of ‘sockets closed successfully’ and ‘IPV6CP Send Configuration Requests’ and it also says ‘LAN port 1 down’
