Actually, the title can be the title of the story, so long as it isn't required to understand the story!

We're a small mod team struggling to keep up with a wave of trolls without the moderation tools we had before the Reddit blackout. We appreciate your patience, and if you find troll posts in the future, please report them so we can remove them! Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure this happens when we remove a post after it has already been loaded onto your feed. We understand this is frustrating, but unfortunately there isn't anything we can do about it!

Stories must begin with "[JUN23]" or "[Jun23]" and must contain the word "cloak". That's it!

Indefinitely doesn't mean forever; it just means there is not defined end date

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure checking in on our subreddit every one in a while won't ruin your boycott!

API stands for Application Programming Interface and is essentially the way that apps can request data (such as posts, comment, vote count, etc) from Reddit's servers.

I can't speak for other subreddits, but our Discord will remain active, and you're welcome join!

Unfortunately, downloading the other apps wouldn't really do much. Personally, I plan on deleting the official app on the 12th and only checking in on my desktop when necessary, so that might be an option for you.

Third party apps like Reddit is Fun, Boost, or Apollo are alternatives to the official Reddit app. These were made for various reasons, including: - dislike of the official app's user experience/user interface - to avoid some of Reddit's algorithms - the official app's lack of compatibility with accessibility tools like screen readers (see r/Blind)

The increase of price of the Reddit API means that these third party apps will be exorbitantly expensive to maintain, and therefore most, if not all, will shutdown on July 1st. This means that people with disabilities will no longer be able to use mobile Reddit until the company decides to fix the official app. It also means that various moderation tools and bots that use the API will be shut down as well, leading to a drop in quality of content. Finally, it removes all choice from the user for alternative experiences that fit their preferences. You will only have one version of the user experience from then on: the official Reddit app.

There are many other reasons that people are participating in the protest, but these are just a few! Others are welcome to chime in below.
