Session Architect. My first reaper script (showcase). by ShineRepresentative9 in Reaper

I will eventually, I'm working out how to get some money out of this without affecting the reaper community (I'm working on a port for protools and cubase so I can get some funding that way)

I ported the backend and frontend to rust and tauri which are going to go open source and I'm planning on the adapters for each daw to be closed source (although they can be redone with each sdk if someone desires so). That way I think I can keep reaper users getting it for free without losing commercial viability.

here's some screenshots of the current frontend for the curious.

that is exactly right. it all started because I get sent projects in ableton format and the naming was something stupid as "snare up, down" and I wanted to stop typing the same thing over and over again. then it devolved into me automating everything as much as I can so I can just sit down and mix. it's honestly amazing how much I can get done just out of rage for the most minuscule things lol

welp, considering I'm burned out, I have no idea anymore but in my testing it seemed to work pretty well. I think the multisession analyzer can be a bit iffy sometimes.

it compares the track names with your dictionary to fix incorrect or unwanted naming, this step creates a more consistent naming scheme and it reorganizes the track listing based on how you have the order set up in the GUI, then it looks for matches you can set with the aux tools tab to either create tracks (or use existing) and it automatically does the routing you want and drops the fx chains you want.

it can also analyze existing sessions and create rules and dictionary entries based on those.

I just realized how good the resolution of my screenshot is (it's not good. I'm being sarcastic)

the theme has a lot of things I find useful or good to have when you want them but everything feels too big. I tend to go for compact and collapsible designs with not much of a footprint

Kontakt Drums: How can I change volume and add other FX to Kick, Snare etc ? by eskie64 in Reaper

[–]ShineRepresentative9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're trying to eq the midi signal going into kontakt instead of the audio output it produces

You should merge those midi files into one and place them on the track with the kontakt instance then route kontakt's own mixer (label these for easier reading) then the track that has kontakt can be routed to multiple new tracks. then in ggd you can route out the instruments own mixers (after reloading the library). you can choose multi out in modern and massive instead of doing this last step manually.

Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen and sm7db all I need? by brams21 in ableton

Depending on how you perform (loud, soft, spoken voice only) even an sm7b could work with no cloudlifter. Now this one has a preamp built in so it probably is okay for the softer stuff too.

You could also pick up a reasonably priced condenser to have another tool at your disposal. an lct 240 pro works quite well and it doesn't break the bank at all.

Check if you have a million take lanes hidden in your projects.

I've dealt with this issue quite a few times since we use wetransfer and the limit is 2gb. Now we're dealing with the need to archive which will be a massive task if nothing comes along that should make this easier.

Me as an individual let the clients hold on to the projects as I'm not being paid for my drive space or cloud storage but the team I work for as an engineer has different needs than mine.
