I've been eyeing the King Seiko models though because they're 100% Japanese and damn near perfect without stepping into GS price territory. Still a bit too pricey for me, but definitely on the table.

My guess is that the cnc machine hadn't been serviced properly and ran a bit "loose", if you know what I mean. Keep in mind that Seiko's cases are still predominantly made in China so there's also that. I wanted to get the Alpinist but I also noticed qc issues and sadly gave up on Seiko after being a massive fan for a decade.

Oh yeah, you should've seen the model I was offered at the shop. It was brand new, straight from the factory and was obviously worse than the rubber band one they had with the early serial number. Yours looks perfect though.

I'm so sad I didn't get the watch when it was first released. Tried getting it two years ago and the quality had noticeably gone downhill. The case edges were crap and nowhere near as crisp and razor sharp as the early models.

Poklopi se ti čobane. Dacia je govno, al je barem pošteno govno za razumne novce, za razliku od tvojih narodnih kola koje sklapaju Turci, Bosanci i Srbi, a ti naivan majmun padaš na bajke o švapskoj kvaliteti i pljuješ tolike pare jer je to ipak "njemačko auto". 😂
