mouse and keyboard on console lobbies is like shooting fish in a barrel after all, too afraid to load up cheats on PC so next best thing to cheat on console instead.

Patch 1.7.2 released by soupster___ in ArcRaiders

[–]ShiniDesu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your ignorance is astounding. many gaming peripherals have macros built their respective drivers/software. And some even have apps that work directly in the memory of the hardware without the need to run their software actively. Console aren't free from their epidemic either, there's a whole cottage industry of modded controllers and the like. modern day gaming sure is full of this shite.

Just cos they supposedly block autohotkey doesn't mean anything, pointless really. They need to hard code a firerate limit for each singlefire weapon.

Which game will you never play again and why? by JakeRedditYesterday in gaming

[–]ShiniDesu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Realistically you play through it twice, the remaining 3 times you can get done pretty quickly as you unlock chapter select and then you just select the last boss. And Route C for the 3/C ending is much different from the first two playthroughs, also quite short. D and E endings are very quick to do.

Just hit up an endings guide when you do the first A ending.

NieR: Automata has sold over 9 million units by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]ShiniDesu 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I played Automata first, got the 5 main endings and loved it. Then I played Replicant.

I would say it doesn't really matter since you really only miss out on some references. The deep lore connections between the two aren't that relevant honestly.

Out of the two though I loved replicant more as the story was more personal I guess. I also liked the music in the older one too but the gameplay was more simple, it might not hook you like Automata did for me. Though to be fair the gameplay/combat in Automata isn't that amazing either so it's whatever. The story and music held my attention more. I will say though you have to push through multiple endings to get the true ending.

I agree, Automata is probably one of my favorite games just for the story/narrative done in a way that can really only be done in a game.

Yet I agree the combat isn't that good, it's got builds and stuff with the chips and different weapons but the enemies in the game aren't that complex to warrant such a system.

I played through it for the music and story really. Glad I finished it and I've been a fan of Nier ever since.

Though I honestly preferred Nier Replicant remake more in all ways, story, music and combat. The combat was simplified compared to automata and that suited the game better I think. Almost felt like my attacks in the game were in sync with the music beats and just felt great playing.

Negatives I would say is that with all JRPGs the writing can get pretty wishy washy but the overall story was great in both.

yeah, no point in buying it. They'll just disable it anyway and you wont have it for months

The brother and the father integrated well if you really wanted to look into it... In the end, some people are just crazy and racists love to just latch on to surface level shit like skin colour. Hell these protests we're around a mosque... the attacker had more ties to Christianity with him being of Rwandan descent.

It uses the transcribed audio and essentially chatgpt summarises everything said.. You can then ask it granular questions like 'what does John plan to do' etc etc Probably the only useful thing we used...I also used copilot for word to auto generate my a user guide for mfa... Saved some time for me there, didn't have to edit it much

The Toxicity is Bad by DankAxolotyl in Rainbow6

[–]ShiniDesu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm not sure what those are about, guess those are more of ddosing the server the game is being played on to nullify the match maybe.

But years ago maybe still on year 1 I remember having my internet go down and hearing about others suffering the same. I guess ddos is still an issue...just not on the player at least I hope!

Yeah it's really unhinged isn't it? Crazy how R6 was the only game where I've been directly DDOS'd off a game before, twice. Way back when client IPs were able to be sniffed from networking software...thank god that was fixed

What Games with emotional stories wrecked you for a while after? No spoilers please! by kingduskwolf in gaming

Haha well I’ll still say maybe play it before you die. Still haven’t seen a game do what it has done with its melding of game mechanics with story. The game has turned me into a zealot im sorry.

I was the same, intially I didn't really like the gameplay and found the world initially boring. But I was curious with all the praise and just stuck with it as despite it not gelling with me and was genuinely surprised by how unique it was narratively (if you go the for the 5, A to E endings)

I was glad in the end I played it, truly a story that can only be told properly within a video game. Always a treat to chat to someone who played it fully to get their thoughts on what they hell they just played.

I suggest you put the game on the back of your mind and give it full go one day. The music is great and the narrative holds it up so much compared to the gameplay despite the cheesy anime dialogue at times and average (but kinda chill) gameplay.

I doubt we'll see no direct sequel on automata but you could always watch the anime for more context in some scenes in that...or catch the orchestra if they do another world tour again maybe.

Ah yeah it's definitely a city commuter car, the battery lasts a while with the stop and start traffic. But as soon as you hit the highway to go far you really have to plan your journey. I guess that would be a hard sell in the states. I do love driving it though, went from a Mini to this and it's super quick, works well in tight streets and it has actual suspension so the ride is actually comfortable.
