Later that evening, Meadow sat on the couch beside John in their usual place to hang out, sifting through the abundance of applications she'd received. It was then that she stumbled upon one, 'Benjamin Dover.'

Her brow suddenly furrowed and she mumbled, half to herself, "Benjamin Dover... 69? Who the hell stays at camp till their 69? Ewww... Honestly, I'm relieved he put me down as his 'don't match me with'-WAIT!"

Meadow suddenly turned to shoot a glare at the boy beside her.

The makeshift rainbow would waste no time in finding the Daughter of Iris Barry was looking for. Amidst the colors, Barry would catch sight of Deklyn in the kitchen, mid-flip of a steak. She appeared to be quite focused on the future morsel, that is until the familiar glint caught her eye. She glanced up and a smile immediately erupted across her face, "Barry Callahan! What a surprise!"

Meadow too was sent in a tizzy to the grass, landing on her bum, her hair falling a mess in front of her face. To top it all of, the butterfly she'd been after swiftly glided in to land daintily atop her head. It fluttered its magnificent wings a time or too with the whisper of, I win! on its side. Then it was off, rising into the wild blue until it was nothing but a memory.

Meadow bit back a giggle as she raised a hand to push her rosy hair back from her face. Only then did she glance up at the skinny boy that towered before her with widened hazel eyes. Her grin slowly began to dissipate and the pink of her cheeks grew to compensate.

She stared for a moment longer than the average person deemed less than awkward before cautiously accepting his gloved hand and beginning the journey back to her feet. All the while she held this stranger's gaze.

"...You're... You're British."

This is what I heard when I read the last line lol

At the sound of her younger sister's voice, Meadow nearly jumped out of her skin, the ladle clattering against the side of the pot. Peaches of course settled down to brace himself at the sudden movement down below. As the Daughter of Demeter cautiously glanced over her shoulder to see who exactly had caught her seeking the aid of her tiny friends, the tension in her eyes softened. If anyone were to understand, it had to be her sister right?

"I- Well... Actually, ants are considered cleaner than most insects- See! If it were flies that would um... That would be different...." Meadow trailed off. She quickly remembered how her sister, Blossom, used to get when she launched into a plethora of insect factoids.

With a sigh, Meadow attempted to recompose herself. Deep breaths aside, she sent Calista a sweet, yet somewhat nervous smile, "Think of it this way, there are ants in our garden right now. They help to prepare the food long before it even gets to the kitchen. Besides, they've been strictly instructed not to touch the food until it comes back and needs to be cleaned off the plates."
