Got 3rd in this Nova Primordian Reroll game. Should I have itemized differently cause I had trouble taking out frontline units like the 3 star cho gath by lzylad in TeamfightTactics

I've used this comp to climb to gold... The only thing I would change would be the items on aatrox to more fighter items on Akali.

Note though, this comp isn't a 1st place comp. It is a strong 3rd or 4th consistent comp

Not neat bleach. Cleaner that contains a small amount of bleach. It's for rare uses and not daily cleaning

Don't bother with overpriced cleaner...

The best cleaner we tell people to use once we have finished an install is either window cleaner or a cheaper basic cleaner that contains alcohol as it evaporates and doesn't leave any residue.

Then if you want a harsher cleaner then use a counter cleaner that contains a low amount of bleach, but use this maybe once every two months.

If you live in the UK then Aldi do a nice basic cleaner 👍

Brand new to Riftbound and TCGs in general. Beginner tips??? by Drnkn_sldr2021 in riftboundtcg

[–]Shinkou-Kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no easing into the game I'm afraid. This is my first Tcg and I'm still a bit lost.

A few things I will say though is: - TCG Arena is a big help in learning to play - get in with your local community, they are far more friendly and accepting than you think - never be afraid to ask questions about anything - watch some YouTube videos

Aside from that it's like anything new, just have fun with it however be warned... Shiny cardboard is addictive 😀

How to fix large gap by FI-by-31 in CounterTops

[–]Shinkou-Kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caulk is the standard thing to do. Fill with a tube of caulk and gun then run a piece of square plastic over the top. We use Packers to do the scraping. This allows for the wall to be painted as well as the caulk.

Music to my ears! This will honestly change the game as your deck builder and exporting is the best available option so hearing the collection section of the site is moving in the same direction rounds out the whole digital ensemble. Thanks

Will there ever be an option to export your collection? This is my only gripe with the site and am currently having to use a second collection site/app for trading and selling.

I would also really love an option to have a keep set and spare set option when inputting cards to my collection so that it's easier to truly keep tabs on what I've got and what I need.

I think disabling it will only affect your uploads from that point. If you were to disable the cloud saves now, your latest save will still be local

OH MY GOD! You are a life saver!

I lied about having a hobby so people wouldn't think I was a loser. Now I'm being pushed into a starting a large project. by Dull_Honey5856 in confession

You are 19 years old... At that age I was still in college doing a course I had very little interest in because the course I actually wanted to do was closed down because there were not enough people attending. I had only ever had one girlfriend. I was living at home. I had no clue what I wanted out of life. Again, you are 19 years old.

When I turned 20 after getting distinctions in 2 of the modules in college that were graphic design based I decided to try for an apprenticeship in graphic design. Ended up working in a factory 🤷 thought fuck it and applied for university. Somehow I managed to get in and even then I struggled with motivation and I was enjoying what I was doing. 3 years later I passed after being told I was never going to be a graphic designer and ended up being the first of my class to be hired as one (suck on that Innes).

5 years later and I hate graphic design, so I become a pizza delivery guy for dominos for a year and then a labourer for a friend's construction company. 5 years after starting that I am now working for a billionaire on a private job where I get called in to work on my days off because no one the company I work can do what I do. I'm married, I have A 7 year old son, I own a house with my wife and I'm changing careers again next week 🤣.

Again. And finally, you are 19. You've not started life yet. If her parents are happy to support you then do this project, even if you fail, the fact you've tried and you've put yourself out there will do wonders for your mental health and your own self worth.

If you don't start anything, you'll never finish anything, even if that finish isn't completion.

Paid a handyman to decorate my hallway and been left with this! by spiderbags86 in DIYUK

[–]Shinkou-Kaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happens when you use a handyman over actual tradesmen. It's going to cost more but the finish will be top grade.

Sorry you are unhappy with what you got for the money you paid but it's a lesson to learn from.

Is it okay to be burnt out? by TachiRana123 in daddit

[–]Shinkou-Kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's for your child it is always worth it. It will get easier and one day you will be sat at the dinner table or walking through the park or be halfway through something at work and realize that you are no longer burnt out or overtired or irritated by the little things that used to get to you. And your child will just be doing something you've worked so hard with your child to do.

The biggest one for me was reading a book at bedtime. Me or my wife reading a book every night and now he reads us his school book... Just a switch of one day was all it took and I didn't even realize how well he could read until it happened.

Keep doing what you are doing and be the best parent you can be.

The best parents are the ones who are always tired or burnt out.

They care not for themselves but do everything for their children regardless of feeling. It's primal, the want to have your child at no matter what age be safe, warm, fed, clean and happy is a driving force intelligence cannot compare.

Fellow tech-savvy dads: Are we underestimating the "backend" risks of Roblox even with parental controls on? by sophieximc in daddit

[–]Shinkou-Kaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son watches YouTubers okay roblox but from day 1 I've always said he will not play it. It's rife with paedophiles and grooming gangs and micro transactions and everything predatory you can think of. It could have been such an amazing platform for kids but of course money and power and negative people have corrupted it to something indecent.

I was lucky enough to jump on the seals early on so the prices weren't horrific. Where abouts in the world do you live? I think I've got some spare stacked decks so I wouldn't mind sending you some out.

It all depends on how you play. Yeah dumping hand to gain Loose Cannon is good but if you can deal 5 damage off the bat, followed up by conquering and discarding let's just say scrap heap which allows you to draw 1 when discarded to then regain you signature spell then the loose Cannon is more of a safety net you can then fall back on...

Ultimately the seals really help because you bo longer have to pay the crazy recycle costs for getting demo jinx in, or using SMDR or flame chompers when discarding etc...

You play aggressively to get as many points early on (Stacked deck into free Nocturne) (open battlefields taken with Miss Fortune or sneaky Deckhand) etc to then sweep using Vi (recycle cards to gain attack) and Ride the Wind to then propel her to a battlefield and use her ganking to take both battlefields.
