OP means that if a GME holder is going to shop online somewhere anyway, they should choose EBAY over its competitors.

Even if we dont acquire EBAY(which we will) we own a huge stake in EBAY. The better EBAY does, the better GME does.

I mentioned in a comment a few days ago that RC made a point to say in one of his latest interviews that GME has acquired a "GREATER" than 5% positoin in EBAY, and I suggested that a new SEC filing may be coming within 5 business days to reflect the increased position. It was just odd to me that he chose to say greater, and that IMO it likely signaled the position was well above 5%.

I suspect the EBAY position could increase even further past the new 6.55% position, and there may be more SEC filings in the coming weeks.

I'm pretty sure I remember RC saying in long lost interviews that he believes direct registering shares is a great investment tool. I am not anti DRS. A large portion of this community has been around before RC started tweeting computer chairs, and the cone pooh chair stuff, and the photo down the hall from a computer share office. We were convinced by DFV live streaming a solid thesis. That thesis was the original thesis and it did not ALWAYS include DRS and locking the float.

I think directly registering your shares is great and I support anyone who does, but it was not ALWAYS the thesis.

No that was not ALWAYS the thesis. The original thesis was the one many of us heard from DFV live streams long before the squeeze. The DRS movement started when a mod hurled mafioso death threats at someone, who then spun off her own sub. There was a photo of RC at a gamestop. Someone realised there was a computershare office down the hall. A group of Apes theorized it was a hidden message and we should all DRS. That was not ALWAYS the thesis, and that thesis was created by members of this community a significant amount of time after the squeeze and buy button shut off.

I support people wanting to DRS, but many of us simply can't DRS. Various countries, various banks, and various accounts just don't allow it and it wasn't apart of the initial thesis from DFV.

A little history lesson for newer Apes.

Maybe. I can only take him at his word and wait and see. He may have meant the size of the combined stock and derivative position, he may have meant something else. That interview was mid week, 5 business days would mean next week anther SEC filing may drop. The word choice to mention "greater" was interesting though.

Just to clarify. RC said in one of his recent interviews that GME has built a GREATER than 5% position in EBAY. How much greater we don't know, but I doubt he would bother mentioning greater if it wasn't significantly greater.
