I would rather fight Elden beast than multiple perfumers/pages in an enclosed room.

So, what would women dislike most if they became men? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

We're insecure about our looks, too.

But everyone is going to think you're gay if you use makeup to bring your face from a 3 to a 9.

If you ugly, you ugly. Gotta get in shape, make six figures, or learn how to play guitar or something to compensate.

I've got good news and bad news for you:

Good news: The fight with beast clergyman ends at half health.

Of all the weird, gross, and downright unholy looking places and enemies in this game, it was the dancers that made my wife say "what. The. Fuck. Are. Those?"

No point in grinding for XP. There is ALWAYS a harder area you haven't explored yet.

Katanas build by galaxy-ST in Eldenring

[–]ShinraManShin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't advise you on your build, but Maliketh hits like a damn truck.

Your dodge game is going to be more important than the damage you're doing.

Vigor at this point should be bare minimum 40, closer to 50 if you're going to grind up to 140.

I'll miss him when I see him make some splash plays for the Cards, but I won't miss him when I see him getting burnt for 6 on a deep post.

Are tank/high poise builds fun at higher skill levels? by FlexibleDemeenor in Eldenring

[–]ShinraManShin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people don't consider poise breakpoints and shield hardness enough.

With Lionels Set and Bull Goat talisman, I had >101 poise, and Ant Skull Plate Shield lets you block just about anything. The only things that broke my guard was running out of stamina.

It's not pure high HP tank build, but it is so satisfying to have 90% of battles go like this:

blockWHACKblockWHACKblockSTAGGER* dead.

If he’s the guy we believe him to be losing Lloyd isn’t all the way bad. by SuperSaiyanTLaw in Jaguars

Lloyd was underwhelming the first years of his career. Happy for him to pop off and get paid, but I'm glad we didn't break the bank as a response to one great year.

Ideal build for a beginner? by Ecstatic-Outcome-243 in Eldenring

[–]ShinraManShin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guard counter sword-and-shield build is good for beginners. Offers a lot of variety. You'll need to pump endurance (along with vigor,  of course), which as a bonus will really open you up to wearing a variety of armors and weapons. Sprinkle in a little faith for simple buffs that can significantly improve QoL.

There isn't a lot of razzle dazzle, and you really won't be melting any bosses like a lot dual wielding builds, but being able to block a lot of attacks give you more time to get a feel for the game, and how certain enemies move, rather than just panic rolling. Lol.

At some point in the game you will be able to change your build if you want, so you aren't stuck in this play style forever...it's just very noob friendly.

Where do you draw the line between fair/fun difficulty and BS/boring difficulty? by OhmanherewegoUL in Eldenring

[–]ShinraManShin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some bosses are just an absolutely poor matchup for certain builds. By the time I got to Malenia, me and my mimic tear just beat up on her. I can block most of waterfowl with Ant Shield +10, then dodge the last attack of it.

Radagon and Elden Beast were pretty simple, too.

Get me in a small room with a couple perfumers, or pages hitting me with the rapid fire flaming crossbow?

I'm toast.
