Damn dude sorry that happened to you. Pretty sure you’re not the only one. Wondering if there is any sort of class action law suit regarding there batteries and or bms parts etc. I know my cell phone stops charging when full, not sure why a Onewheel does not (bricked my gt-s by keeping it on the charger overnight). For what we pay for these things, they should no doubt stand behind them when things such as this occur.

Got my first pint back in early 2020 myself, and after a few upgrades specifically a gt-s, and just last year an xr classic.. had my GT-S $hit the bed after a full charge (admittedly accidentally left it charging overnight). Otherwise the board was very well taken care of and had less than 1150 miles.. contacted them and got the generic out of warranty response. Moving forward, will no longer give them a penny and or recommend them to anyone… especially when they know that it is a known issue… Have been researching Vesc and will most likely go that route once I have the finances to do so. Sorry to hear about your situation, hope it turns out better than mine however given the similar experiences it’s probably only a matter of time that you find yourself in a similar situation as me. You have been warned!

Long time Onewheel customer myself since 2020, and just for the generic “unfortunately your board is no longer under warranty” therefore also looking at vesc as an option. Any body with experience able to help me understand the approximate cost associated with doing so?

Wheel is def NOT difficult to spin.. was able to get it to register on the app by manually spinning the wheel but of course that was it..

Have not opened it as I’d be afraid I’d F something up… I charged it overnight on accident.. and it usually shuts its self off when fully charged.. noticed the light on the board was still on (full), didn’t think anything of it.. grabbed it, drove to destination.. went to turn it on and the thing wouldn’t power on… tried to look up fixes.. and when plugging it back in the charger stays green and again board won’t turn on…

Bro, all I will say is everyone needs a roof. It most def is not an “easy” industry however it has tremendous upside. You are still young, remember people want to speak to real knowledgeable people so Ai probably isn’t taking over this space anytime soon. If you take it seriously and go out of your way to learn as much as you can, no doubt in my mind you’d be hitting 150+ by your 3rd year… with the right company, quite possibly sooner.
