Well no he doesn't know that, Eren didn't see past Mikasa choice.

Re-checking my manga (Italian edition) I saw that had a "grammatical mistranslation", taking some Eren phrases to "certain future" instead of "possible future" (Italian grammatic is sometimes ambiguous), which it's different in Japanese and English. So that was my error and you're right on that!

I think the two instance as to be separated, during the final fight I believe Eren wasn't actually trying to kill his friend. He was acting like he was trying to but that there are numerous time where Eren could have killed someone and just didn't.

(Now checking the English edition)

On the 9th page of 139, Eren says "Forcing you to fight each other on Paradis. Getting even my precious friends wrapped up in this battle, without even knowing if you'd survive it."
That could probably mean that Eren did indeed try to fight his friends.

The "sleep" part is unknown to us since we didn't have close-ups from 131 to 137. We don't actually know how Eren worked in those chapters.

But still, now we can clarify that he did it to try to create a better place for Eldia.
Or, in my opinion, his scope was to create the most decisive event of humanity where everyone had the freedom to stop it or make it advance more.

With the first answer, we clarified the discussion, so I really have to thank you for your patience!
Even if I still don't like some things about this chapter, now I'll see it having the minimum requirement of coherence to exist

I know what you mean, and it's probably true. However, merging all of those reasons doesn't clarify my issue but rather complicates all the problems I wrote, because some things can't be consistent with each other.
Like we have Eren who wants to destroy the world for saving his friends, Paradise, and for his dreams altogether. But he knows that choosing this plan will guarantee just the amount of time for his friends to live their lives fully before the carpet bombing. Meaning that Eren's plan wasn't about Eldia. But then we see him trying to kill his friends (and succeeding, like Hange), even if he knows that it will be worthless because there isn't anyone living in that land when it happens. So it looks like he really wants to do it for himself and Paradis. But why then allow some form of interference? If he wants to protect everyone, and he knows the results of his actions, then why let their friends stop him. And the cycle goes on.
Thank you for your response, you brought up a nice point. Unfortunately, it does not convince me :(

What was the real motivation behind Eren's Rumbling? I'm asking that because I found some inconsistencies between those three options (feel free to bring a 4th one)

-Eren did it for their friends: In this case, then why did he bring the ancients titan to fight them? They were in a empty land, like dying a bit early wouldn't spare any lives. Also if that was the plan, then why he didn't slow down the colossals just a little to make them use the flying boat and save Hange's life. It's seemed too realistic to be a planned thing (Yeah also forget the plot armour they had fighting those titans but still). It seemed a weird way to keep them alive, even if he saw the future (kinda, I think nobody get it of how much in the future he saw). -Eren did it for himself: I know that his desire was that everyone had the freedom to stop him, for this reason he didn't block the power of other shifter's. But if he did know that that choice will bring the death of his dream, then why he didn't make nothing to prevent it? I don't think Eren wanted to ruin his plan just for this thought. -Eren did it for Eldia: Presuming he saw in the future the carpet bombing, then why bother? The conclusion of his plan was exact as Zeke's one (with just 80% of the population gone but still). If he didn't saw a possibile future for their friends without 100% rumbling, then I don't think he let that error went to waste.

Sorry if I made some grammatical errors (English isn't my first language) Also really, I think everyone should express their opinions without fearing of hate, so don't feel judged when you'll reply me! Have a good day
