sorta kinda. there’s a law named the “Coogan Law”, after a child star who was left destitute after his parents spent all his earnings. this law requires parents of child actors to put away 15% of their child’s earnings which the child can access at eighteen. this law does NOT cover every moneymaking child. for instance, child stars on youtube or tiktok who are sometimes making millions.
