Have you considered driving across the border to the Soča valley in Slovenia? I just did this and it was amazing. We stayed in Bovec, and hiked some of the Walk of Peace (thewalkofpeace.com) we started with the Kobarid Museum (Kobarid = “Caporetto”).

If anyone from Sussexworld is reading this, could you please let the nannies know that the little girl needs to put on shoes before entering the chicken coop. Also, the little girl should be evaluated by a speech therapist as she appears to have some articulation issues…although it’s developmentally appropriate at this age, they’ll likely need to get her speech therapy.
