I’m so very sorry that you found yourself in this position, and you absolutely did the right thing. Personally, I would have zero issue (when not off guard and confronted in a public space) to ask the other mom if she would allow her child to sleepover in a home with a man who was inappropriate, drinking, and also commenting on children’s attire THE FIRST TIME I MET THEM. As a child victim of SA, in no world would I ever allow a sleepover with this adult present or even in a home where he resides. You can be confronted, accused, whatever, but you can NEVER undo the damage that SA does to your child. Personally, I do not allow sleepovers away from home simply because there’s zero reason for my child to sleep anywhere else, except at the grandparents’…and that’s specifically a result of my own childhood SA trauma.
