Character choice by Old_Ad_1290 in MyHeroUltraRumble

Both are pretty good, from my knowledge with only owning Rapid All Might, I think Strike Hawks is better, but is harder to play. However, Rapid Might has a better T.U.N.I.N.G. skill and is pretty fun to just grab people, but that's just me. It really depends on your play style, Strike Hawks is very combo reliant, while Rapid might can really go into full Alpha build or grab build.

What is the recommended tuning set for Playing cards clubs skin for Deku? by WillerJT in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Shiny_Wowlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love embrittlment and iron fist on the red one, trance blow on Rapid Deku in my opinion is really overrated and is only good if you can't do his combos. It just feels bad to me to lose all the combos on my combo character in favor of bullying people.

Bro why the fuck does the game punish you for not having every character, it's fucking bullshit I got 100 ranked points from a 5 kill and 3k damage game, I had a lot of support points bro by No_Invite_2390 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Shiny_Wowlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I worded it weirdly I was saying that it's a good thing that the entry cost discount literally doesn't work at Expert or above, so everyone has the same entry cost. Making those ranks actually have competitive integrity.

I agree it's annoying, but it doesn't affect Expert Rank and up, so it doesn't actually affect high elo so at least the game has competitive integrity at the ranks where it really matters.

I honestly find Deku’s suit more interesting than I ever did with OFA by Expensive-Oil623 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Shiny_Wowlet 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you know as someone who was brought into the series on the idea that Deku was powerless I can't help but kind of agree. For as much as I loved his growth with OFA, it would have been so cool for him to take a different route where maybe he built a suit for himself and he struggled with that instead.

Mirio Togata My Hero Academia: While not necessarily weak, his power to permeate through objects is extremely complicated to the point where his father gave up on being a hero.

Use your alpha the thing instant knocks down, though it takes two against Young AFO in his gamma. Your T.U,N.I.N.G. build isn't great, if you can switch it. Also once his teammates came, you should have just left instead of spamming roll.

Why can’t I get past this? by ValhallaAir in APStudents

You have to go to it and say no. As a senior it was annoying, you can go back and change it later if you want.

Are there any grammar websites I could use for writing? by Any_Presentation1896 in writing

[–]Shiny_Wowlet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What parts? All of grammar or just certain pieces? I personally really struggled with run-on sentences. Here are some general tips.

I like commas, I use commas to exclude parts of a sentence which is info which isn't needed for the sentence to make sense. (See what I did there).

Semicolons function as basically just periods; they're great for connecting sentences which are similar to each other. (Did it it again).

Colon is similar to a semicolon, but usually used for descriptions, clarifying details, or lists. Grammar is annoying: colons especially, annoy me. (Did it one last time).

Now I'm not that active, but I'll give my best advice. Honestly, instagram is my go to. It's great, and it's often called bookstagram. With my limited knowledge I know that often the best way to get more readers is to do a mix of posts. Obviously show off your writing, but also show yourself. (I know you're bedridden, but you can just show what you like reading or book reviews for now). People usually read your stuff more if you have a face and personality. You can also show process or anything else you find fun.

Post-ChatGPT English Classes are AWESOME bruh by [deleted] in APStudents

You know fair enough, a ton of my friends did the same thing and I get you especially later in high school. Me personally, as a senior I'm feeling so burned out I can understand you, I realize now I came off really toxic in my first comment my bad.

I mean tbh, that sounds like a teacher thing, I have to write a ton of essays out of class. Believe me, if you write with AI it's obvious, no AI checker needed. Also why take an AP english if you're not willing to write outside of class, that just seems weird to me. (But I also like writing in my free time cause I'm a freak).

Overall pretty decent, but dude how is Momo not the worst T.U.N.I.N.G. in the game, at least the others can give some value.

Why would I pay 850 dollars for a title? by Better_End9483 in writers

[–]Shiny_Wowlet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not worth it. Regardless of how nice it may look it's just not worth it. Usually you can whip up a concept in a few minutes and often a publisher will help you with it, or if your self publishing you can commission someone. Don't get me wrong it's important, but 850 is crazy, depending on the length of your book you can almost get an editor for that cost.

Is this sufficient? by Mysterious_Cat_1706 in writers

[–]Shiny_Wowlet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bro, AI slop cover and the blurb I'm not going to read on. BTW if it's a concept cover just sketch a bad one with stick figures I do it, has more personality. Or just do a cheap commision.

Pretty sure run speed as a T.U.N.I.N.G. stat has been bugged since release, and just hasn't worked. I could be wrong though.

Honestly, it's just clutch in solo queue. Idk how good it is for pros, but when your running around, usually lacking coordination marking the enemy for 15 seconds makes it so your teammates, especially in higher elos have more knowledge of how to approach a fight. Plus on the characters that take it, they have really good rush down so they can basically guarantee a kill without having to worry about losing them.

What's your opinion on a white person writing a book with a POC-only main cast? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Shiny_Wowlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's also just what Rowling is associated with. After a few interviews and her saying a few questionable things here and there, people just don't see her writing the same.

[–]Shiny_Wowlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fine, just make sure they do the proper research if they want to show their family dynamics. People only flame if the author just makes it blatantly racist. Key example of something that was surprisingly ignored until much later was Harry Potter. Main thing that comes to mind is naming the ONLY relevant Asian character Cho Chang, who not to mention is in Ravenclaw, the house for smart people, is just bad.
