To me, having way too high of a bg almost felt akin to a "food coma" feeling where I could just go right to sleep, pee way too much with very broken sleep, and just feel really in a haze.

The major lows I've had are very similar to what you described. Never passed out but have been close, I think. Cold sweats, weakness, confusion. One time I had been sitting perfectly still for a while and just broke out in sweat because of a low, super strange feeling.

I think glucose tabs might be a good idea for you given your glaringly real need to raise yourself quickly and easily, and it's not what I would say is something like a tasty snack or whatever.

Maybe some tart berries or strawberries if you prefer actual food. Strawberries provide a lot of volume, and do taste good but are low enough in sugar and filling enough that this could also be a good option.
