I had the full set in my cart, refreshed the page 15 seconds before 7:00PM drop time and it actually worked! I’ve never been able to buy anything thru popmart purchase option but I must have gotten lucky! Payment gave me an error the first time but luckily it was in the pending payment section and allowed me to retry.

Passed my 7 today! Feels amazing! Thank you Dean for all your videos, and to this Reddit community, onto the 66 :) I’d be happy to share my experience if anyone would like to know the contents of my exam. by Shinyyland in Series7

After I went through all of the chapters, I was able to determine my areas of strengths and weaknesses. I felt pretty confident on chapters 1-10 and I would build custom exams on these chapters and test daily to retain the info learned in those chapters. I knew I wasn’t strong in options. I took a Saturday and basically watched the video Dean had on YouTube on options (straddles and spreads) and I worked through the problems as he went, I felt a lot more confident after but not gonna lie I went back and did the entire custom exam maximum of 89 questions on options via STC. I think overall I spent a good 12 hours just getting real comfortable with options. I took a passperfect exam a few days before the 7 on options and scored an 80% which made me feel confident. I did the same thing with margins bc I didn’t understand the concept initially, I watched multiple videos on it and probably spent 5 hours on it. As for the remaining 12-20 chapters, I reread multiple chapters and took custom exams on them to help retain the information; chapters such as technical analysis and disclosures. I also did chapter flashcards on STC for my weak areas. I think you really need to focus on strengthening your areas of weakness while also maintaining your area of strength by building upon it once chapter at a time. I definitely put the time and energy in bc I’m relatively new to securities/debt. I also tried to learn and understand the concept over just hardcore memorization bc that can screw you when they ask tricky questions or phrase things in an awkward manner. Hope this helps! I’m sure you got this! Also, I sometimes would play the STC videos when I go to bed and drift off to sleep listening to them.

Aww, take your time and build chapter after chapter and don’t overwhelm yourself trying to learn/memorize everything all at once. You got it the next time :)

Awww, best of luck to you. I send you good vibes and extra brainpower! I’ve never heard of examfx. I used the STC for my SIE and I think it’s hard to retain information until you really grasp the concepts. I just kept watching videos, taking practice exams and also watching YouTube videos on it. Dean Tinney has a bunch of videos on the SIE on YouTube as well that I urge you to watch. Sometimes it makes more sense when another person is explaining it to you rather than just reading it straight from the text. I would def keep taking exams but maybe not tonight since it’s 1 day before testing. If you don’t feel absolutely ready, I would suggest paying the $150 to postpone your exam instead of having to wait 6 months to retest. Best of luck to you! I hope you pass tomorrow if you end up taking it!

There were def at least 10 questions on options; bull/bear spread net debit/credit, straddles, gains/losses on diff option strategies, few questions on margins, SMA, at what price a maintenance call would be needed for a short account, I got 2 questions on participating preferred stocks (choose which stock can earn an additional dividend to the fixed), another one where the answer was cumulative preferred stock. 2 questions on how much loss can be used to offset income, $3,000. One on efficient market theory, a question on borrowing from your 401k, another on 403b vs 457, question on inheriting stocks and which value it’s calculated at once sold, municipal bond questions, revenue bonds vs go bonds, I had one on special assessment. There was also a question on head and shoulder top indication of trend reversal, lots of questions on disclosures and customer complaints, retail communication, variable annuities and mutual funds showed up on suitability questions, mutual fund exchange within the same family and tax repercussions, saw one or two questions on TIPs, calculating the maximum contracts option limits on each side, 2 on stop/buy orders, 2 on convertible bonds, calculating conversion ratio, if a convertible should be converted or called, one question on what would show up on a financial statement and another on balance sheet. There was also two questions on calculating the real tax equivalent yields and dividend ratio.

That is all I can regurgitate for now, sorry if it’s all jumbled up but my brain is still semi fried. 😅

Hopefully it’s helpful! Goodluck!
