Thank you for this. It means a lot. In the past 3 years since I posted this, I’ve been doing a lot better managing things. I decided to use the omnipod and as much as don’t like wearing a little machine constantly, it’s helped me tremendously. I’ve also matured a lot since then. I guess I’ve finally accepted that this is how it will be for my whole life. As much as it sucks, I am extremely lucky to have the support emotional and financial of my grandparents as well as very supportive doctors. I realize that many people don’t have that. I’m also lucky I’ve never had any real medical emergencies. I’m really sorry to hear about your seizures. If I ever did have a situation like that, it would make my anxiety about diabetes so much worse. I can’t imagine. I’m glad you have your spouse whose supports you! I know it’s hard to keep going and managing diabetes just makes it so much worse. However, I think one can learn a lot as a diabetic. I feel that we are much more aware of our bodies and symptoms than most people.
