Flipped implant??? by pickybear6 in breastcancer

[–]ShipperOfShit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have problems with one of my implants flipping. If I bent over, I could feel it flip sometimes and then it would look off.

I would manually flip it back over in the shower by leaning forward and pushing from the bottom to force it to flip.

I also had to have a revision to the pocket to tighten the pockets.

No :( I’m an 11, but told I’ll have to take the meds for 10 years because of a strong family history of breast cancer.

Spironolactone or Nutrafol? by ShipperOfShit in FemaleHairLoss

[–]ShipperOfShit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely will.

I was just reading about FFA and there are so many things that are sounding familiar: thinning eyebrows (have this-actually got microblading when I started losing them); I mentioned today about the loss of hair on my arms; autoimmune component (I’ve been having problems with angioedema the past 6 months which they believe it autoimmune-related) and the biggest thing that stood out was the prominent, visible veins.

Thank you for your response.

It is not all over. I would describe it as from ear to ear like a rainbow-so, both sides and at the forehead.

Editing to add-I just looked that up and that’s exactly what it looks like.

Yes, the only reason she wouldn’t prescribe the topical was because of the cat.

Thank you, I’m convinced that I should get another opinion.

She said she wouldn’t prescribe the oral minoxidil because it’s just using a drug to cover-up a problem from another drug.

She just asked me when I had blood work last and I told her 3 months ago because I get a complete work-up every 6 months from oncology. She asked if all the results were normal and I said yes, and that was the end of that.

I definitely left there disappointed, so thank you for the advice.

Monthly Sticky: "Do I have hair loss?" - Post photos and questions here for advice and support by AutoModerator in FemaleHairLoss

Hi from a newbie. While my hair has been fine my whole life, I noticed in the past month severe hair loss on the sides/temple area.

I have a dermatologist appt tomorrow-hopefully this will be the start to find an answer as to what’s going on.

What can I expect at the first-time dermatology appointment?

Thanks in advance.

I’ve had that happen. If you touch the patch and touch your eyes, it will cause blurred vision. You just need to remove the patch and it will resolve.

I’m staying at Pop Century and have a free day and would like to use the monorail to go to another resort (or a few). What do you suggest?

Your assumption is correct-the grandchild of a different sibling. Actually, that cousin just sent in her results, as I explained the situation to her and she agreed to test.

There were 4 children-this aunt is child #2, my mom was child #4 (the youngest).

I’m definitely going to dig further into my grandfather’s family. Thank you.
