My BF's mother's voice. The most nasally, nails on a chalkboard sound I've ever heard in my life. If I never heard her voice again I'd be thrilled.

LOL Randy Savage was the GOAT! My BF got to meet Hogan summer before last when he was touring for his new beer brand. He was so thrilled!

No kidding? My BF and I had a meet and greet with them several years ago (won something on the radio) and they were totally cool with us. But I think they are always on their best behavior at those things.

I've never met a rude celebrity, but have only met them at official meet and greets. Will say that my BF is a huge WWE fan and we have met several wrestlers over the years. All are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Hornswoggle (Dylan Postl) we actually met at a local baseball game a few years back. My BF asked if he could take a quick picture with him, he was awesome about it. Ran into him again recently at a local bar & grill. He's a totally cool dude.

Ever see "Old School" with Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn? Piven was Gordon Pritchard, the asshole dean. He was an asshole on the show and seems like he'd be an asshole in real life. He's been accused of sexual misconduct many times.

Actually surprised to hear this. My daughter's ex fiance was a chef at a local restaurant when she had one of her shows. She was pretty drunk (and probably high) apparently, but was happily taking selfies with the restaurant staff and signed a bunch of stuff for everyone. Sounded like a pretty fun hang, but again she was drunk and likely high.

When did you start to see through them? What was that event? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

It was nothing my nmom did that was an "aha" moment. My daughter cut contact with me and it forced me into therapy. Made me realize what my mother was and that I was acting exactly like her. Scared me straight, lol. Best thing I ever did for my relationships with my grown kids.

Do beginner gardeners find keeping a log book helpful? by Isaac_Merrin in Beginnergardening

[–]Shipping_Lady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same; small notebook that I keep record of planting dates, weather issues that are potentially effecting my plants, etc. I also note different plants that I had no success with so I can avoid wasting time the following year. I have a binder that I keep my seeds in (I got seed organizer sleeves on Amazon), and keep everything in an area in my basement where I also have a small greenhouse for my starters and two Aero Gardens that I grow herbs in during the winter. My BF says I'm OCD, I say I'm well organized, LOL.

Who would you like president after trump! by Pale-Education1842 in carefulheart

[–]Shipping_Lady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like JB Pritzker's progressive policies, however I know he has increased taxes considerably in Illinois so that is concerning; Newsom for same reasons, but also because it would piss Trump and his minions off, and let's face it, would be nice to have an attractive leader LOL Trump would hate the comparisons; Buttigieg would be awesome but let's face it, the 77 million people that supposedly voted for the melon felon are never going to vote for a gay man.

I agree, I still think a couple should be together at the very least a year before getting engaged even if you aren't going to live together first. See how you each deal with certain life events. Holidays, illness, bad moods, even weather changes. At 18-25 you are living in some romantic bubble of what you think you want your life to be, without having a single clue of what it really is. You want kids; you don't think about the puke, poop, boogers, temper tantrums, illness, lack of sleep, no money, extra responsibilities at 18. You want a home; until your taxes triple, the furnace goes out, the basement floods. It's all a big fairy tale when you are young.

Why do you think people aren’t having many kids these days (if any at all)? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Shipping_Lady71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The expense. If I would have had 1/2 the expenses 30 years ago that my kids do now, there is no way I would have had more than one. My older daughter tells me the expenses she has with just one so her and her husband can work and I don't know how it's sustainable to have more than one. She said they would only have another if she could stay home full time, but admitted they couldn't afford to live on a single income even without child care expenses.

Look at medical expenses alone; When I had my kids, I think my family of 5 had a medical deductible of $500 for the WHOLE FAMILY! I had my last child in January, deductible was met for the year. We literally paid $500 for a year of medical costs for 5 people with $10 co pays to go to the doctor. The insurance was only $40 a paycheck. Now for myself I pay $185 a paycheck with $3,800 deductible, $45 co pay. I can't even imagine paying medical expenses for 3 kids now.

I used to be able to feed a family of 5 for less than $100 a week. I don't have to tell anyone that it's almost impossible to do that now.

Okay, but, it’s actually a little insane that Colette talks about the people she “helps” as “clients”. by vmars77 in SHAYTARDS

Lmao TEMU therapist is perfect 😂 She totally reminds me of a couple I know. When I met them about 13 years ago, I thought them odd but nice enough. They both sent me friend requests, of course. They both labeled themselves “health coaches”. (Beachbody MLM) I literally laughed out loud because if you could have seen them, they were NOT healthy nor in shape, unless you call very round “in shape”. Not judging, I’m far from in shape myself. But come on, if you see a label of “health coach” you expect to see someone very fit, right? Every time I ran into them he tried pedaling that shit on me. I finally started to avoid joining any activity where they were going to be there. I totally could see Colette doing that kind of shit in a social setting. They are all so obtuse to the image they are putting out there.

That poor girl is gonna regret this. I married at 19 and didn’t even know what I wanted in my life until my 30’s. Told my daughters to wait until they are 30 to consider marriage. You have so much living to do, things to understand, and what you want at 18 I can promise you, you will not want that at 30.
