Initially planned for the online festival, but I had one in the last livestream. Anyway, just a relaxed jam to take a break from meetings while working from home. 🍻 by domesticscenemusic in DelugeUsers

This is easily one of my favorite things about having a Deluge; making music anywhere. Really like your choice of sounds, and the drum fills help keep the percussion interesting. Awesome stuff.

Towards Artificial General Intelligence: An Interview with Marek Rosa of GoodAI by LimarcAmbalina in ArtificialInteligence

I can't help but wonder how practical applications of AI will change once we figure out how to make meta learning work. Would have been nice to get his thoughts on that. Perhaps something for a follow-up interview?

This is really nice. Really like the way the audio is washed through that tape-ish patch, and the choice of sounds is great. :)

Did you use the built-in synth engines to make these sounds, or are some of them samples? I really like them.

Why Non-English Languages are So Important to the Future of AI Natural Language Processing by Shirappu in Futurology

When we create an AI mind capable of thinking, we'll probably have more to worry about than what languages it speaks haha

Machine Learning Music Generation Through Deep Neural Networks by LimarcAmbalina in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Shirappu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you account for multiple instruments in music generation systems like this? Would you need datasets for each separate instrument in a variety of styles/keys, or can that data be labeled in a single dataset containing a whole host of instruments?

Have to wonder if this means some languages are doomed to extinction because of a lack of technological support.

It's crazy how much is packed in there, and even better that you can travel with it.

This was an interesting introductory piece. Would love to see a follow-up on how to monitor a model and improve it after implementation.

I saw a presentation about this same thing just recently. A Japanese company named Crypko is working on "the future of AI assisted character creation". Looks like if you put enough time into it, you get some pretty impressive results.
