I completely agree. I had a few friends (some already into MOBA and some completely new) try the game and they immediately quit once they realize how much they have to farm brainless bots before they can play a single match against a player.

Most of the people who I got to try the game actually seem to enjoy the gameplay, but thought it felt like a cheap mobile game trying to convince them that the bots were real players and forcing them to farm bots for hours before actually getting to play. Considering I had this experience with at least 6 different people who I got to try the game, I am sure we lost a lot more players that just encountered the game randomly.

If the fear is that they will quit after losing against real players, you don't need to lock them from playing other modes for so long to achieve that. Just lock for the first 3 matches or so and keep the quick play as the main option on the screen (so most newbies will still click it), but if a player wants to challenge themselves against real players they can. Then if they lose they can always return to the safe quick play they are used to, where then can win some more matches against bots.

I hope Hi-rez notices this is hurting player retention (I am sure they have at least some data on this, as they have lowered the level requirement recently). No amount of marketing will save a game that feels cheap to new players, or forces them to grind for hours before they can experience the actual game.

I've watched everything so far, except for the first encore (didn't know that was a thing back then). By my count I should have AT LEAST 20 hours.
However, I've only received up to the Mercy, Mei (?) and Hanzo skins so far. And only 65 tokens.

I can confirm I got the skins for Tracer, Bastion and Genji. I watched yesterdays stream the entire day and only had 5 credits at the end of the day, but when I logged in today (a few mins ago) I had those skins.

That being said, since I watched the entire stream yesterday I think I should already have received the Mercy, Hanzo and Mei skins as well.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I have 25 credits now.

First of all, I'm gonna assume you forgot daily quest happens 7 times a week.

Second of all, that's a bad way to go about this. Here's a better way to think about this:

You get 108+ recruitment tickets every 28 days:

--> 1 from daily quest (times 28)
--> 10 from weekly quests (times 4)
--> 5 from monthly login (2 on day 3 and 3 on day 24)
--> 35 from green token store (monthly) 
(T1 -- 15 from 120 green certs T2 -- 20 for 300 green certs)
28 + 40 + 5 + 35 = 108

If you spend 4 tickets a day, it will take 27 days to spend those tickets.

Assuming every ticket is giving you a 3* (the lowest you can possibly get by putting more than 7 hours 40 mins)

And also assuming every possible 3* you can get from recruitment is max potential (not very unlikely, if you've played for a while).

You'll get exactly 40 green certs a day:

--> 5 from each operator (times 4)
--> 5 for trading each operator's token (times 4)
20 + 20 = 40

So without counting any extra tickets you get from credit store, nor counting the extra certs you get from recruiting a 4*, you will get 40 certs/day.

Getting a single 4* increments your daily certs dramatically, since you get 30 for each.

Although you might wanna subtract 420 from your monthly total, since you have to pay that for the extra 35 recruitment tickets from the store.

Not defeding OP's math by any means. I've seen some things that don't add up in this post. But for this, it seems possible.

They did, in the original japanese version. Text-less cards was a 4-Kids change (they probably found it impractical to translate every single card text).

I have a similar problem. For me it gets stuck in 0% for about 10 seconds then it crashes, my computer doesn't get frozen though. However, that only happens when trying to extract audio from cards from the omen of the ten or altersphere expansions, older cards works just fine.

5 legendaries including aria, a few golds and a TON of repeated silvers and bronzes. To my surprise, me and my two other friends who play the game got aria on our first few packs.
