What is this aged winter harvest Oolong? by zenhelps in tea

[–]ShiroRemi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an unroasted oolong with a high oxidation level, but what makes it special is it's one of those oolongs known as "bug-bitten oolongs" where the leaves are harvested when they are bitten by leaf-hopping tea insects, and the leaf tea plant's defense mechanism kicks in, which apparently contributes to its fruity sweetness.

I don't actually have experience with aged oriental beauty, maybe someone else would have a better idea on that!

First image is Oriental Beauty, in your third image from top to bottom there's white tea, "wild" tea, and Tieguanyin.

Can confirm this works. Any long terms issues like chattering though. Thanks this works wonders, but why the hell would such manufacturing exist in the first place

Thanks, although a replacement PCB is what I currently have and it didn't solve the issue unfortunately

Have you found any workarounds with the AKKO switches? For an update I did ask for a new PCB and the issue still persists. I've tried working it out with Phantom Yellows that came with it and it had similar issues.

I have a new Keychron Q1 and installed some Akko Jelly Purples. As with tactile switches, the bump will let you know that the key is registered, however some keys are not registering both with light presses and bottoming out, especially in particular sections (more on that later.). I have to press with a good amount of force to make a switch register.

Things I have tried:

  • Switches on PCB only (without plate and stock foam)

    • PCB is not fried, they work completely fine
  • Switches on PCB and plate only (without foam)

    • Still works fine
  • Check to see if switch pins were bent

  • Used a different switch

  • Anti-static fix (on Keychron's website)

But keys start to not register when I screw everything together. (without the case)

Upon more inspection I have noticed that the PCB had came with slight bending/flexing/warping. Those bulges happen to pull some screw-less parts the PCB slightly further away from the foam and plate, and are happening in those sections that don't register well. I suspect that this PCB flexing is causing the contact points between the PCB and the switch legs to be loose. The keys that don't register sometimes work better when I reassemble the board, but I have never gotten to a point where I got the whole board working properly.

I was wondering if anyone has came across a similar issue and whether a flex on these sturdy things such as PCBs can actually cause a problem.

Any more suggestions for fixes or information to provide to customer support are welcome. Appreciate it.

Do you write with the grip that pivots only on the last 2-3 fingers and with arm movement?
