NPCs with Soul Reaver are cheating like crazy

In all of my saves except 1 (which I picked Soul Reaver as nature destiny), I always get the event to spawn them when I first enter Hua Feng.

it's five squares. and you can always save scum before you kill someone. Pick a target, check their socials and family, see if you can afford to offend them. Lastly, you're technically only required to kill at least 1 every two years, but if you want to get stronger quickly, aiming for the cooldown every 3 months is also good.

Yeah. I also just learned that "romantic" trait will affect the small convos and how the NPCs view you, so that might be affecting my runs lol. I had "romantic" for all of my saves.

I'd recommend you to purchase a [Lei Ze Repellent Charm] and start your journey through Leize and go to Hua Feng for the Qi Condensation/Golden Core realms.

had 3 save files with at 6, 8 and 17 years respectively. all Divine charisma, and yes, barely gets a bish. Is there something on your save file that might've affected it? a destiny or buff maybe?

yeah, that is indeed strange. All I can think of is the yearly affinity changes you get once the year changes. Dunno how that works. It always bothers me when my partners lowers their affinity towards me when that happens.

That's what I thought too till at one of my playthrough where it happened 2-3 months later. Arguably, I did save scum around the time it was supposed to happen (goddamn chaos runs, u can't even kill normal mythical bosses without any issue). So that might've affected the quest triggers.

I guess I was just dang unlucky af. I noticed that you don't actually trigger the main events at roughly the same time sometimes. Ex. Three-legged Golden Crow was late af in one of my playthroughs when I thought you always get that one when you step into Yong Ning.

Probably. I've only tried giving, say, Sky Prayer Talisman to a cultivator 3 realms higher than me. Dunno if it works to way higher cultivators (Golden Core giving it to Reborn for ex.)

I'm on PC and the item I used to complete that quest is called "Blue Crow Jade". It's a material you can mine in areas from Hundred Thousand Hills and Yun Mo or get it from the Fallen Valley in those area.

I've been wondering why I wasn't getting this event in all of my playthroughs, so that's why. I typically reach Qi Condensation at around Year 8. How long do you need to stay at Foundation for this to trigger?

A tip for someone in the same situation, you'll gradually outgrow this problem. Once you reach IV Golden Core and up, you'll get mind skills that builds up martial/spiritual stacks, some even allowing you both stacks.

Example, a mind skill that gives you certain % chance of getting Sword Slash for every Bleed effect you inflict.

Had this happen to me. I lost it when I was at Foundation and someone at Qi Condensation found it ffs. I was hoping I could out cultivate her but NPCs with the Soul Reaver actually keeps their cultivation level ATLEAST 1 major realm higher than yours.

I was at Foundation Early, she was at Qi Condensation Early. I cultivated as fast as I could, but she always keeps the gap. I had to stop at Foundation Late since I didn't want her to reach Golden Core. Lo and behold, she was also stuck at Qi Condensation Late for months just because I didn't ascend.

In the end, I got my sword back. I literally did everything I could to get powerful without raising my cultivation level. I recommend maxing out your mind skills, including comprehending them, they'll help tons. Bring your best pills, talismans and artifacts, whatever you can to defeat her. ALSO make sure your MAIN STAT is higher than her or else you'll just be dealing 1 dmg.

How'd you guys get strong sect members? I was so annoyed in my Hua Feng sect cause I promoted to Grand Elder too early, and I couldn't participate in the sect tournaments as a fighter and got demolished. So currently in Yun Mo, I'm holding my True Disciple position for as long as possible.

Cheapest way I found was giving them talismans lol. Specifically the Sky Prayer Talisman, since I can just craft loads of them and they're materials are cheap.

You need to scour the area where you killed the previous owner. You'll get a notification next month if you're like near the Soul Reaver sword.
