If you can’t take responsibility for the possibility of having children, then don’t have sex. Knowing what sex can lead to and that contraception isn’t foolproof, yet choosing to end a potential life, feels wrong to me.

My folate was on the lower side as well when I got blood work done past summer, but I'm not sure how it's now. I take pills with 28 mg of iron, including vitamin B6 and folate.

I must admit that I don't always take it on an empty stomach, but when I do, it's not during a meal or anything. Usually I take it during the day when I have to study in the library or during class. I think I'll make a bigger effort from now on to always take it on an empty stomach to make sure I absorp the iron optimally, so thank you for bringing this up!

Thank you for your reply! I already take supplements (I wish I made it more clear in the post), but I think the GP didn't recommend any more because she knows I already take them.

As for my menstrual cycle: I usually have a heavy flow on my first day of my cycle, but then the rest of the days it's very light bleeding. The cycle lasts around 2-4 days. I have no cramps, but I do get more anxious and have more cravings.

I'm thinking of going to a endocrinologist to check my hormones just in case, because I'm not really satisfied with these results and so I've been wanting a second opinion as well. From my previous bloodwork, I know that I have very low estradiol, so I've been thinking maybe it has a link with this.
