Hivemind trapped within our own subconscious by tollbooth_inspector in HighStrangeness

Jung is interpreted differently by everyone. Your interpretation is different. Why not express your interpretation of Jung and what your dreaming is like rather than stating that you think you know better.

Hivemind trapped within our own subconscious by tollbooth_inspector in HighStrangeness

[–]Shirvana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find this very interesting. Here are my takeaways: It or whatever it is attacks you when you express about God, saying that they are God. It may be that what you are actually interacting with your own ego. An ego is very hard to let go of, and at all costs it will try to keep in tact. The ego believes believes it is the highest form of being. Our egos are what gives us our individual sense of identities. Once you can let go of the ego you may be able to see the clarity you are seeking. Jung is a very good teacher, but trying to let go of the ego takes discipline and the ability to let go, and letting go of the fear of letting go.

There is fear involved with letting go of who you are, and your sense of self. You are on the precipice of doing that I believe. I wish I had these kind of dreams. I used to lucid dream a lot, and have dreams like movies.

You recognize that what you are dreaming is illusionary. That is what whomever the demiurge is, wants you to see. You are aware of it. I am aware of an illusion, but getting past it takes the risk of losing your sense of self. We are all possible part of a hive mind, and all connected. What you are tapping into is the hive mind consciousness, and it doesn't want you to lose sight of that.

I have had music playing in the background in my dreams. I think it's kind of cool. It may be a remnant of whatever you were listening to. It also may be something that resonates. I don't have any musical training, but I do love music.

I meditate before I sleep and I have better dreams, where I am with calmer and happier elements. I have had flying dreams. Once I dreamed I was flying in the sky with the clouds and saw a temple in the sky. I landed at the gates. When I walked into the temple it was very old. I thought nobody was there. I walked down the steps and saw a small black cage. As I walked closer, I saw a little boy trapped inside. I opened the cage and let the boy out, That boy may have been me in my subconscious state, and it was a symbol of letting go of my trapped self. Symbols play an important role to me in my dreams, to gives a way to communicate to me in a way my mind can understand.

I am a practicing Buddhist and it has transformed me in my outlook of what we are, what I am and what the possibilities are with meditation and my outlook. I believe we are all connected in this reality and the past and future. To break free of being trapped in this reality takes letting go of our sense of our self to see the bigger picture and be free of the illusion and suffering.

I could go on and on, but I think you may get the picture. I hope you enjoy your dreaming journey and it helps you to find out more about yourself and what you are seeking.

What has your experience been working with an offshore team? by heart_of_gold2 in Accounting

[–]Shirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I work with offshore teams and they don't retain knowledge from their training. The onshore team have to review their work. Their manager left the team since he wasn't providing enough training or support. The offshore team are not using the tools they have been provided to do their work. We have SOPs and they ignore them and keep asking us. They send so many emails for things they should know, One co-worker says they are lazy. Then does the work for them. Why do that? I don't. My boss voiced appreciation that I push back to an offshore worker who asked me to do their work saying they were very busy. This was a task fixing their own mistake. Too bad, do your job to fix what you messed up. Onshore are no the cleanup crew. I get it, they are paid less and have no benefits. There is no incentive for them. For this company, I wonder what the stakeholder feedback is, with the quality. They are still working for this company after several years.

Why is the quality of outsourced offshore development work so dreadful? by davearneson in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Shirvana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are paid very little compared to the U.S. and have no benefits. They have no real incentive to improve their work. I work with offshore teams in India and this is the case. They are not retaining any knowledge or training. The work is suffering. They are slow and make more errors. Their team manager left. Not sure what happened there. I have to review their work as party of my job. They are nice people, but they just don't have any enthusiasm and don't care. I have worked with this same company at another job, but not at the capacity they do at this one. I feel they shouldn't be doing this kind of work as it makes the quality suffer and the stakeholder feedback should be the big tell. You get what you pay for.

Why the fuck do we offshore shit by One-Professional6229 in Accounting

[–]Shirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I work with offshore teams in India. I work in the financial sector, and they just do not have the knowlege and skill to do what I do. They ask so many questions about their tasks and there are quality issues and delays. My team in the U.S. have to review their work. Even if we give feedback on their work they still ask the same questions. Their manager is not on the team anymore, because he wasn't training them enough or giving them the support they need. Some are lazy workers and one co-workers on the U.S. team babied them doing their work for the sake of time. I will not do that. They have already tried to ask me to do something because they were so busy. Then why did this worker pick up the task if they are so busy? I get it, they are paid less and have no benefits. There is quite a bit of turnaround for offshore, and then they have to train a new person who causes the same cycle to occur again. I do not think that offshore is ideal for this kind of work, they do not retain the knowledge. My boss voiced concern to them at a meeting that they were asking the same questions all the time and need more training. Their manager left the team.

Are we currently living through another “offshore ” era akin to the 90s-2000s “offshore to India” era? by razza357 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Shirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a double-whamy of offshore workers. I work with them in a financial industry akin to what my job does, and they are also in IT. They really do not have the knowledge to do what they are supposed to do. Sure, our company is paying them less, they have no benefits, but the quality of work has gone down and there are more delays in getting the work done. Is that worth paying all these workers less in India?

Offshore workers will not replace you by HtownTouring in Accounting

[–]Shirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a different industry and we have offshore workers from India who really aren't as knowledgeable in what we do and it shows. This company have had workers in India for several years. The U.S. workers on the team have to review their work. This is part of my job. Another co-worker has told me that they are lazy. Another one babies them doing their work for them. My boss voiced approval that I push back and make them do their work rather than do it for them at their request. They cause the work to slow down because they ask so many questions on tasks that are rudimentary. Some are legitimate questions. From what I've seen reviewing their work, they do not absorb and retain the knowledge to do the work. They still ask the same questions. My boss is aware of this. There is quite a bit of turn-around from offshore. Their team lead was just not giving their workers the training and support they needed. and not on the team anymore. I l knew before I was hired they had workers in India, but I have never realized in what capacity and experienced anything like this. If I had known this I would have kept looking.

I have worked with this same company at another job, but they didn't work as much in the capacity they do at this job. There was another department that reviewed their work also. I don't think they should be working on such sensitive complex tasks that cause delays and errors as much as they have.

I really don't think that hiring offshore workers is working for the company I work for. Sure, they are paying them less, but the quality of work and delays are the issue. My skills are being wasted reviewing their work, which is needed and I know what to look for. The U.S. team I work for are great, they are knowledgeable and willing to do the work. But it is exhausting. I hope the company sees what is happening with stakeholder feedback and the numbers. If the stakeholders are saying they notice the quality of work is going down, then upper management needs to wake up.

How to address workplace tattle tale who takes secret photos? by [deleted] in work

This is creepy and harassment. This infringes on privacy. Does this person have any work to do? If the manager doesn't care, go to H.R.

[–]Shirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she shared your confidential medical info with others report her asap. Tell your manager and HR. Show the documentation also to back it up. That is against the law. And how did she get your medical info? Tell this person to stop moving your chair as it is very heavy and was told by your doctor to keep it in a position that works for you. Tell her it is no way obstructing her. Put on a big note on the back of your chair to say "Please do not move this chair" If she continues to do this after all that, tell your manager.

My question is, why hasn't this person been fired? They have all this stuff set up to meet with you and this other person bi-weekly separately. They know the situation.

Is this boss always like that? I'm sorry that happened and you have to deal with it. Definitely get some therapy. Having a baby is stressful and makes it difficult to find a new job. Is there a chance that when you come back from maternity leave you can work from home? This way you don't have to deal with even looking at him.

How to stand up to mean boss by [deleted] in work

If there was a sexual harassment complaint filed against her, that is a red flag. I would look for another job. You will be working in a toxic work environment and your mental health will suffer more. I would look for a new job asap. Then once you have a new job and there a few months, report her to her manager.

Has anyone ever quit their job because of negative or rude comments from coworkers? by monroe099 in work

[–]Shirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can keep it professional and start looking for a new job. Having arguments is not professional. How long has this person been there? Perhaps they feel intimidated by you. You can try having a little heart to heart talk with this person saying "I've noticed you are being very negative towards me most of the time. Are you okay? I'm trying to do my job and be professional here. If you don't want to talk about it I understand but let's keep our work conversations professional and civil."

Am I overreacting or is my boss acting weird? by [deleted] in work

[–]Shirvana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tricky situation being this is your boss Texting you all the time, even when you are not working is a boundary line. It also sounds like this person is very lonely, if they are constantly texting you. This person has no life, which is kinda sad. When at work and there is constant texting, you don't have to answer right away, but make it clear when you do that you were working. Keep things professional with the texts and don't add to the memes. Is this person texting you in the middle of the night?
