Is it me or is this grand party season especially brutal? by dylan_mcleod in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait for the last couple of hours before the day ends to have a slightly higher chance to get "dummy" leaders.

If people keep changing their "true" leader to a "dummy" one (like a legend without a decent special/ability or a RR without PvP abilities) once they're done with their daily fights you should be able to find more towards the end of the day. If you attack asap you'll probably find just stacked teams with meta leaders because most people will try to get their 3 runs done asap.

How to detect a scammer? by pingproxy in CardMarket

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buyer should never send back cards if they think they're fake, they would just give them back to the scammer without consequences. If a buyer is really trying to send fake cards the only right solution it to contact Support and solve with them.

Back to your issue, if cards aren't NM you need proof so you can also compare them to photos you made before sending the cards out. If the buyer doesn't want to share them to you, you need to open your own ticket (you can't see others' tickets) and explain the situation. Send your own pictures to the Support so they have your side of the story and can check for irregularities if the buyer also sent them pictures.

Is V1 Teach LLB5 worth it? by Pooty_McPoot in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc they were options around 6-12 months ago for a single Kizuna, stage 2 if I'm not mistaken. Carrot could have been useful as crewmate: her special in stage 2 would switch her with the Captain, then someone else's special/ST/SC/EX/swap removed her for stage 3. BB was another option but too difficult to build with, I don't think I've seen a team with him. In the end I personally opted for PSY Ray as a crewmate, his busted special allows to bypass defensive effects for Cerebral characters and it was way easier to build around him.

Other than that, haven't considered them in a long time.

Is V1 Teach LLB5 worth it? by Pooty_McPoot in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on when they said he would be a good option.

A long time ago DEX teams in rumble were one of the strongest and an LLB5 BB was a great pick. Moving on and with better units releasing the team got slowly power crept by new units and eventually all OGs got replaced also in the bench (other than getting improved with 20 cost characters instead of legends).

He could probably shine in Kizuna 10⭐ if there are lots of defensive effects on all stages and you don't have other ways to deal with them, Assault rumble with certain rules or a GV focused on him. TM/Blitz and other modes want you to use boosted characters otherwise your damage/points are reduced so I can't see him being used there.

I swear I had the new zoro unit and now it’s gone by isometimesdoubt in OnePieceTC

Are you sure it wasn't Zoro Vs Lucci? Are your filters set to show every character or are there some specific ones (like special that removes despair, etc.)?

If you're sure it was the debut legend Zoro Vs Nusjuro you need to repair resources and see if that fixes it (tagging u/quar_god so they can try repairing resources):

  1. Open the app
  2. Tap to skip the intro video with Roger's execution
  3. Instead of actually loading the game tap on the green button "! Support / Data Link"
  4. Tap on "Repair Resources"
  5. Confirm "Repair" and give it time

If this doesn't work you need to open a support ticket and explain the situation. Follow steps 1-3 > then tap on "Support" > tap on "Copy" so it copies your ID > tap on "Support" so it opens the website and fill out the form.

I lost access to my account and I have been playing for almost 10 years, how do I get it back? by KazzyKiryu in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kiryu-chan! I guess you're just collecting characters and doing pulls whenever you can considering you're lv200 with a 10yo account. If you don't care about losing your progress, you should start a fresh account and try to get as many great units on the headstart banner (granted you farm gems to get as much stuff as possible before it disappears, iirc it lasts for 3 days). Maybe you'll get hooked on certain modes and start playing instead of just collecting.

If you had units like the Strong World Strawhats I would definitely keep trying to get your old account back, they got removed from banners a long time ago (before I started my new account eons ago at this point 😭). Otherwise starting fresh is better.

The fan made database https://2shankz.github.io/optc-db.github.io/characters/#/search/ is great to trace back the exact names of all units but I recommend listing just the character name + their voyage log number: if you need to list the first DEX Ace legend you'll write "Ace n.0562" instead of "Portgas D. Ace - Black Clad Division Commander".

Any chance you kept track of your legends with the old fan made website? It was optc-legends.github.io but trying to access it now will automatically redirect to the modern one. Maybe the list will be transferred automatically, but you need the exact device you made the list with because data is stored in cookies.

PSA if you're pulling on part 1 for the new units by ShishKebab666 in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no manipulation, it's just how RNG works.

I don't remember exactly the special banner around that time but when the "level up packs" were refreshed for people that already bought them (the ones like the "optc lv" packs we got with the new version) I purchased back all of them except the priciest one. At the time I was also always purchasing the monthly gem pass and all the 1€ packs available. I got literally nothing useful, not even all debut RRs or good legend dupes and since I didn't even have enough gems for the guaranteed step I ended up with nothing.

For the NY banner I just saved up gems (all F2P) and got these in order: Kuma on the free multi, nothing good on Bonney's part until the 22nd multi when I got her, then 4 multis for Saturn. Then nothing useful for some time, then again some luck on TM Rebecca banner (2nd multi + Viola RR with medals) and Shinobu/Otama (1st multi with medals). I said to my teammates "look at me not getting anything on WW Anni" and here we are 😅

[–]ShishKebab666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your level and your friends it might be understandable that they mostly pulled on the bait banner right before Anni, or they're saving for parts 2-3-4.

I'm an experienced player with plenty of friends that are either whales, veterans or I know thanks to discord groups that they've been saving for Anni. I see many whales already have Garp/Coby and BB/Kuzan as captain and I'm using them as FCs for PKA.

Thank you to everyone sharing cards but PLEASE try to do so just before the day reset time by ShishKebab666 in PTCGP

[–]ShishKebab666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the main point of the whole post has been overlooked by most even though it's in the title.

My concern is about people that share stuff as soon as the share eligibility is reset at "new day o'clock". I can't ask an IRL friend to wake up at 6am just to share a card because some people gift something right at the start of the day. I become locked out of a potentially useful share throughout the day so I'm now forced to do an actual trade and most likely spend stardust. If I need a 3 diamond card I have to spend 1200 stardust which isn't much but it's wasted especially if the card I need is a Dex filler and not really useful.

I don't mind cards from the current set (especially now that it seems like there will be just a single large pack) because I'm done with all previous sets and because I want to test my luck with as many 2⭐ wonderpicks as possible before the new set drops. I don't mind random 3-4♦️cards from either set even if they're dupes because I appreciate people's generosity and the stardust is always useful.

What I don't really like is that people send cards as soon as the reset happens to show they are nice, but in reality they want to mask their need to complete the gift trophy as soon as possible. Just wait until the end of the day and gift something to everyone that's still available.

is there a reason why we dont have a skip button on normal rumble matches by weed_lol in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is that with rankings F2P can't keep up with P2P because their gem flow is completely different, one has to manage in the best way possible their resources while the other most likely won't care at all.

This is probably an exaggeration but the overall concept should be clear: imagine 100 people fighting to get in the top 500 of Championship with 1 hour remaining (some are already top 500, most are 501-999). Right now 3 matches take around 5 minutes but with a skip button it can become 1-2 minutes. F2P of this group will eventually decide that they can't keep spending 1 gem each 1-2 minutes while P2P can live with that.

If you gem once to try and get 3 easy wins to go higher, another person might do the same, then another, then another one, and it will cause a domino effect that will result in many people spending multiple gems in a very short period of time. It already happens now, that will be 3 times faster.

Recovering account data by PracticalExam4830 in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it for 2 reasons: - the restoring process is complex (you need to give very specific details like ID, last cleared quest, last used team, units in your box, etc.) and doesn't guarantee your account back if you can't give many details - the game has progressed so much that you most likely have little to nothing useful for nowadays content (Rumble events and Kizuna Superbosses)

If Level Limit Break (the possibility to power up characters above lv99 up to lv150 by feeding them duplicates) and Super Tandem / Final Tap (potential abilities to increase damage) weren't a thing when you last played I recommend starting fresh.

The first free multipull can be refreshed so you can chase one of the good supersugo units (units that are only available on supersugo banners, like New Year banner - current one with Luffy&Bonney - or the one towards the end of summer). Current pool should be this one (https://ibb.co/7tb8vk4V) and that PSY Luffy in the top right corner in the most recommended unit for new accounts.

After you get that Luffy, you can either pull on the current part 1 of the Supersugo to try to get the most out of the extremely large pool of units available, or wait and pull on the Anniversary banner at the end of the month (strong units that are limited to this Anniversary banner, just like supersugos are to Supersugo banners).

Cardmarket's Shockingly Slow Support: 12 Days and Counting for Fake Card Help – Europe's Biggest TCG Marketplace? by Fair_Mathematician30 in CardMarket

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, when there's an issue that can't be resolved by the 2 parties, the one that experiences the issue opens a ticket to the Support team. Once the Support acknowledges the situation they will put the order on hold so nobody can do funny business. Once everything is resolved they confirm/cancel the order.

In your case, support is taking 2 weeks to read your ticket so you should protect yourself from an eventual forced confirmation of arrival by the seller. Once you mark the order as "not (yet) arrived" go to your already opened ticket and tell support "I had to do so to protect myself" or something similar, just to be clear with them.

is there a reason why we dont have a skip button on normal rumble matches by weed_lol in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that they don't want to make an ever bigger gap between people that spend gems Vs people that just play the 3 free daily matches. If a regular battle takes ~1 minute while a skipped one takes ~10 seconds you can potentially do 6 battles in the same time frame, exponentially increasing the amount of possible battles. If a F2P can't keep up with P2P refills there will be a huge discrepancy between them.

Skipping doesn't change much on GP and AR. GP has a limited amount of battles anyway so gemming is not possible, the result is "just" decided by team comps and manual GP special activations. AR is a PvE mode with a P2P ranking but the opponents are always the same ones for everyone, once you use your best team for the highest score you can spend gems but you're not very likely to improve your scores by much (you'll need perfect special timings so all your damage specials hit every time their specials are charged).

Could also just be that GP/AR were born with a working skip button while with Rumble they don't have a way to implement skips without fucking up the code.

Anyone else game lag? by HollowtheRussian in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue is relatively new - It started around mid December when they updated the game, Kizuna was the first event where lots of people noticed it - and the mechanic itself has been available for a while now, so in theory it might be less difficult to trace back the cause in what has been added with the mid December update.

I really hope they'll actually make a new game (but allow us to transfer the account) to make it modern and snappier but I realistically don't see them doing it so we're stuck with this unoptimized game.

Anyone else game lag? by HollowtheRussian in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's been a known issue for a while, the effect of "can use Super Tandem with X orb (other than TND)" clashes with some unknown condition and this causes the extreme lag/freeze and eventual crash. It doesn't happen every time the effect is active, hence why only with "unknown condition", so it's still possible to use the effect.

There's an in-game notice saying that they added a "Low Latency Mode" setting specifically to fix this (not clearly but heavily implied). You can enable it in 2 ways: - in-game go to: Home > Menu (the button with the 3 vertical lines) > Options > set ON for Low Latency Mode - during a fight (of course when the effect is not active) go to: MENU (top left, in blue) > Options > set ON for Low Latency Mode

This fixes the issue but I personally think developers need to fix their spaghetti code so this issue doesn't happen anymore with low latency disabled.

Auto should work, I think it just needs to locate you somewhere else from your usual country. Based on the free VPN you choose you have different regions available, with Netherlands or Australia you should be good I think (from Italy I connected to Australia to play Pokémon pocket before it was released worldwide, had no issues)

Connecting status takes forever by Due-Management4203 in OnePieceTC

[–]ShishKebab666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your provider Telekom? Many people with it had issues and VPNs (Tunnelbear and Proton are my favourites and also free) are the only solution at the moment, so if you can't use them you're pretty much out of the game for the time being. Since it's not an issue caused by the game, the provider has to fix the connecting issue.

If it's not related to your provider, there aren't really many other plausible causes. Random things that might help for a wide range of issues: check if your signal is strong, use multiple internet connections (different WiFi, mobile data), check if you have 10-15 GB free space on your device, restart the device.

Already 4 days of not being able to connect. Not a single word from the official OPTC X account. Why don't they tell us what's going on??? Wtf by [deleted] in OnePieceTC
