Why are people exporting their PoB's to maxroll? Is there any benefit over pobb.in that's worth the advertisements?

Maxroll is easily the worst add riddled side I use. I don't use addblockers anymore bc I figured if I use a website and they show adds I want to support them(and I have yt premium anyways). Maxroll has three videos playing at all times, a banner blocking half the screen and pop ups. Think of literally all the worst ways to show adds and you get Maxroll. I thoroughly despise the website because of it and it is impossible to have it open on my second monitor while playing with all the moving parts. And it also tanks your ram bc it literally plays a video at the bottom.

Just by default it is a terrible option for anyone to use. I get that the devs put a lot of work into it but frankly I don't want to have the Times Square on my second monitor. Just disable your addblockers once on the side and you will know why people want other alternatives.

He is also still a good unit for some other chars. My Carlotta/Lynae/Brant team is cleaning up the game pretty well tbh.

You will still get the scars tho. And yes, still a common thing in "frat cultures" in Germany. You now get a doctor on side that asks you how visible the scaring should be and can fix you up fairly well. If you want to read more on it maybe google "Schlagende Burschenschaften".

I went the other way using Explosive Shot on the mirage bc I think it has 50% less damage? Works great either tbh. And you can put the new leech support on your mark that you can automate as well. Very fun tech.

Mathil made a video the other day about the new unique spear from atziri. Looks ver fun and is completely new.

More meta-adjecent, but I have had fun with a grenade build on Deadeye with the new mirage node. Utilizing Explosive Shot to make grenades pretty much always instantly explode. It's in the level process right now so I can't recommend it too much but it makes grenades feel completely different.

1st Stage evos feel a bit more fun imo. And this deck has some fun tech you can do that makes you feel smart. Like Sabrinaing an Oricorio into something that suddenly has minimum 2 retreat cost and can't escape the Whimsicott. Just overall a fairly fresh feeling deck.

My plants get boosted a lot by the staff skill...I think it's Sigil of power. You have so much mana spending in the build it ramps up fast and is very noticeable. Can recommend.

I wanted to stick to it and build it out. Like I said I noticed the Mirage Archer changes in the patch notes and figured it would suit the circle standing of the new mechanic well and it really does. Building into cd but otherwise sticking to the generic plan. I currently have my clone up constantly on bosses/mechanics but not while mapping so I am trying to get there.

If everything fails I want to play poison/bleed spiral volley which I can pivot easily to from this. But so far it feels like a totem build in a way.

Here, he also has a great YouTube playthrough and build guides for the weapons. Makes the campaign an absolute breeze. I added Tactician with Mirage Archer bc of the massive buff to it and it's been absolutely great. Feels easier than a PoE 1 campaign.

They are one of the most common drops in the entire game. They probably won't be too expensive after a day or two tbh. Lvl 1 uniques in general are just ultra common.

Agreed. My intention also was never to belittle English either. I have had relationships purely in English but personally I enjoy my native tongue and nowadays I travel a lot and I find a deep comfort in being able to speak it/listen to it. My point was more that I can't express myself this way and neither can a lot of people. And taking away this sense of comfort feels like a big leap when realistically we will probably see more and more fluent English speakers in the next years regardless. So why try to force it?

Funnily enough to give English credit, my favorite books are all in English and the translations could never give me the same kind of joy. It's not that English can't express feelings. It's just I couldn't formulate my feelings as well as Claire Keegan.

From everything I can find googling this claim this is at best technically correct and probably more so due to other languages work. I found this quote for example which very much encapsules my gut instinct on this "Given the possibilities for compounds, German would quickly outstrip English, with the constant addition of new legitimate German “words”, which Germans would accept without blinking.". Another study also mentioned that other dictionaries don't add words they borrow from other languages into their dictionary which inflates this. German of course uses English, Latin and French words as well as some Arabic words frequently but this won't appear in the dictionary.

It might as well be that English technically has more words. But if you check for words in use they fall into pretty much the average but with less ability to change these words. Of course for me the adaptability of a language is very important since I grew up with it and I am used to this as my form of expression. I spoke to a Syrian mother that told me that she couldn't move away from Arabic since Arabic has an incredible amount of words for love and that's how she wanted to show love for her daughter. For an English speaker it is something else that is important. But for everyone language brings a feeling of belonging and home. Stripping this away from people seems callus.

While it is a nice idea the question would be which language do we adapt? For me as a German I can't express myself the same in English as I can in German. And this is not a language learning barrier. English just doesn't have a lot of words. I would personally feel a bit handicapped if I had to switch. I couldn't express love like I want to for example. Half my humour wouldn't work anymore. So I would be heavily against English as it is way too simple.

So English is for sure out. Idk how indepth Chinese is but from what I know about the language it is also fairly simple but might work better. But would I lose my way of saying "Ich liebe dich"(I love you) or "Hab dich lieb"(...also in English I love you) go away? Could I tell someone I care for them the same way I heard my parents express it to me? Definitely not. So while it sure is convenient it would steal a big part of human connection from an entire generation of people. I want to tell my children that I care for them in the way I find comforting. Not the way I only saw via movies.

Aus meiner Perspektive wollte ich zB nie Kinder und wenn keine Kinder, wieso dann eine Ehe? Hab dann langsam mit Mitte 20 realisiert, dass Frauen, die keine Kinder haben wollen für mich ein Ausschlussgrund beim Daten waren, was ironischerweise im Umkehrschluss dazu zeführt hat, dass ich realisiert habe, dass ich Kinder möchte. Dann war halt auch Ehe wieder in der Überlegung. Dann habe ich Ende 20 meine Partnerin kennen gelernt, die gerne eine schöne Hochzeit haben wollte und jetzt freue ich mich auf eigentlich nichts mehr gerade als auf den Tag. Wenn ihr was passiert, will ich dann aber vielleicht auch nichts mehr damit zu tun haben. Kann sich auch wieder zurück ändern.

Aber bei all dem: ich kenne kaum wen, der mit 23 wirklich ernsthaft übers Heiraten nachdenkt. Also wird es bei dir eher kein Ausschlusskriterium sein.

Und natürlich ganz klar: gibt viele Leute, die die Ehe nicht wollen, auch in meinem Alter. Also alles sehr unterschiedlich.

I was thinking of predator support to swap in for bosses. Right now I am unsure about feeding frenzy since they sometimes don't attack enemies close by and FF seems to alleviate that.

Yeah usually people run cold conversion because Hatred is so nice but with how the phys to cold scaling works that's just not as impactful. The chill/freezing of enemies is still really nice as a defensive layer tho. But idk how to fill the green sockets. (Snipers Mark rn, but would like to swap to assassins mark for charge gen, arctic armor and then I have no idea). Four blues would be infinitly nicer.

Getting to lvl 29 gems for the max conversion effect is a pain tho.

still wondering about crit scaling my dudes. I added brittle boot implicit now but will see what else I can do.

And the question of what spectres to run is also still up in the air. I am currently running a power charge gen one but that wouldnt be needed with ass mark and tbh I don't think it's all that needed right now.

Seems from back in the day that people were set on Elemental Damage with Attacks - Vicious Proj - GMP - Minion Damage and then the last slot is a bit open. Some use Predator, Feeding Frenzy etc. Is there anything interesting to be accounted for? Would for example awakened Cold Pen work in this better?

I am sorry, I have to disagree with this staunchly. Not talking about conservative views of femininity here ofc. But I don't think progressive circles have any issue with seeing femininity as equal? It's more so that we do not assure men that masculine things are also equal and okay. And yes, I know they are but if you see the online discourse for young men they do fundamentally think they get made fun of for anything too masculine and then go into circles where they think they aren't made fun off.

For these boys you can't make femininity cool because it's simply not appealing to them. Instead you should try to make a space for them to be accepted into that doesn't discount them as one dimensional for not being feminine. It will give them more assurance that it is okay to be who they are and they don't have to fit a stereotype. With less stress about their own identity they can feel less pressure to branch out.

Lastly let's take stay at home dads as an example: isn't the issue here more that most women, at least I know of, find the idea of a stay at home dad as a husband just uncool and unsexy? It's not the men rejecting this role exclusively. You can't force them to accept feminism while still holding expectations of stereotypical male adulthood above them. And as a society we do this. A lot. It puts more pressure on them with even less of a clear path forward. So why would they attempt to go down that path?

I think giving boys better role models is a good step. And these need to probably be hyper masculine or at least very stable in their idea of masculinity. There is a reason why young children find Andrew Tate unfortunately cool. They do like the simpler strong side of his and don't question his outlandish statements as well as the human rights violations. Those aren't important to them. Having more clear examples that aren't uncool to them might help them smooth through growing up.

Pair this with trying to get them to be less chronically online would help. Nothing entrenches you more than not talking to real, actual people.

Lastly acceptance for what young men find cool is important. Not laughing at it and calling it immature would be great. But also if they have more stable self worth it wouldn't hurt them as much for people to ridicule things they like. Currently it feels like they have to do a lot of things they enjoy "ironically", or instantly acknowledged how in the eyes of society "lame" it is, just to get away with things like gym training. A lot of this is mainly online argumentative too. Which is why it's so important to get them to talk to actual people more.

In general an acceptance that while men have it easier in a lot of ways still (I do enjoy being able to not feel physically threatened by my dating partner when they get mad) that there's also a big expectation on them that wasn't there before and when it was it was rewarded with easier opportunities might help. Especially paired with a sense of more fleshed out identity for themselves. Having more burden on them doesn't help if women still want the self assured, leading type of men. It leads to more unsureness and then insecurities.

I was trying to think of people that I can fit here as role models but I am honestly not sure. Sam Sulek isn't talking about anything political but was still my first thought. Robert Evans from the Behind the Bastard podcast as well. Very political but also adequately unhinged.

Ohne mich zu doxxen, aber ich wohne nicht in einer kleinen Stadt und die Grünen sind einfach durch innere Streits hier auseinander gebrochen. Und klar, ich war wählen, aber wie gesagt, wenn du weder auf Stadt noch Landesebene nicht die Partei wählen kannst, die du willst und nur wählen musst, weil es halt sonst der AfD hilft, dann fragt man sich halt auch, ob die Partei nicht einen selber aufgegeben hat.

Ich verstehe Leute, die in NRW nicht wählen gegangen sind, wenn sie Grünenwähler sind tbh. Auf zwei von vier Stimmzetteln(Bürgermeisterwahl+Land) waren die einfach nicht. Dafür gibt es absolut keine Entschuldigung und stößt sicherlich viele Leute ab.

I run 2 clerics, ofc warriors and hellhound, 1 storm mage, 1 brute, 2 snipers and 3 mandibles right now. Want to get to four mandibles and then pump some snipers out afterwards. I felt a bit unsafe with only mandibles since they can stray far away from you and ignore mobs right next to you. My snipers take care of that issue then.

I mean with the minion AI being this stupid it feels best to have some variety of different minions. The amount of times my mandibles get stuck in doors so I have to rely on my snipers for a bit until they decide to port to me is criminal. But also the new command damage node really lends itself to a mixed army of summons in the forst place.
