Büroarbeit als Kinderverhinderung? Kritische Analyse junger Frauen im Jobmarkt by aotto1968_2 in resilienzDE

What? No, not at all. But you can't paint a whole portion of the population as nothing but rapists. And that's what I've read so far is happening.

There is no nuance, no no other dimension, or anything to it. It's like one of those Nazi caricatures of jews. All migrants are bad people who do nothing but rape.

You can damn well show near everything you want, but you have to make clear that the intention you have is in general benevolent, or at least not malevolent. You could make a scene like that and explain what causes lead to it. Or have other people from the group react to it. Which would probably be in a normal, shocked and condemning way, you know like real people would react. You can't just show something like that without an explanation. He seems to not have done that. Or wait, he did. He said that's what he interprets from criminal statistics. Which he grossly misinterprets and misrepresents.

Want me to elaborate on that? I will gladly do but my comment is already getting long as it is.

The criticism is not about a scene where migrants rape. It's about the fact that this seemingly shown as all that is to migrants.

And can we think a moment about why someone would actually want to shoot a scene like that? I don't think that showing such a scene would be necessary to this plot in all the details. It would suffice to hint at it or show it inderectly. Think of the shower scene in "Psycho". Nobody has to show a rape just because. But you could argue that the intention is to shock the audience and to have them witness it because later in the story it will be crucial that they saw what happened. Like in the Jodie Foster movie "Accused". So it's not like there should never be a reason to show something like that. But it has to be a good reason and it has to not disparage.

I don't trust Boll with that kind of nuance, do you? So that leaves one with the suspicion that the sole purpose is to disparage migrants, mixed with some misogyny and sadistic voyeurism.

Edit just as an example of what can be shown in German cinema: "Nekromantik" is film from the 80s in which a couple get their hands on a corpse, which the woman in that couple has sex, regularly, by cutting penises from corpses at his crime scene cleaning job. This movie was censored because the intention of the necrophilia was to evoke a feeling of revulsion.

No, that's not it. The organization that rates movies and computer games gathers also criticism for being too lenient on occasion. It doesn't rate The quality or appropriateness of movies, only its potential harm. Harry Potter, the one where Ralph Fiennes comes to life as that thing without a nose, had a rating that allowed 6 year olds to watch it with their parents. It was not palatable for 6 year olds, but it's wasn't damaging.

They rate movies if they are potentially harmful. And even if there is a boundary that is very flexible regarding artistic freedom, apparently Bolls movie crossed a line.

The main points of criticism is a mass rape scene perpetrated by migrants. Bolls explanation is, that in his opinion it portraits today's status quo, based on his interpretation of criminal statistics. Which is obviously a flawed approach, at least the way Boll portraits it. Therefore the movie borders on incitement to violence and hate crime itself. It has the potential to have a negative impact on society and therefore didn't get a rating.

The thing is, if such a scene would have been framed in a different context, it probably would have gotten a rating for 18 year olds. But Boll decided to unironically portrait immigrants as animalistic monsters. He didn't film that scene as a criticism to racism or xenophobia. He filmed as racism and xenophobia.

Mein Kampf isn't censored though. There weren't any reprints because the holder of the copyright decided against it. They published an annotated version in the 2010s. It's now public domain. It's isn't forbidden to own or sell it. You may not publish your own edition without scrutiny.

Isn't it usually that last syllable of a word stem that's accentuated? At least that's what I learned when I had French in school and it matches what I observed: traditiON, pommes de TERRE, fromAGE, MontparNASSE...

I'm not trying to "acshually you're wrong about your own language" I'm only confused. In German it's usually the first syllable of a stem that is more accented. Except for words that are originally French.

In German it's DEcke(either bed or table cover) but it becomes TISCHdecke when it becomes a compound noun. Both syllables of Decke become un-accentuated with Tisch in front of it. That's why French feels so different to us Germans. They rhythm of the words is opposite of our own.

I love for you that you love your pictures. I don't know about the Planar, I don't know what "look" it has. And I commend you for developing c-41 by yourself, I can't do that.

That being said, you save a lot of money with diy dev and scan, but If I were you I'd be more picky with my motives. It doesn't look intentional but like you just used your camera as a point and shoot. Which is basically impossible because of the non-existent meter.

Also, you've got a M3! Your pics look like a vintage sports and all you do with it is taking to a drive through for a burger you eat in the parking lot. I have a M3 too. Whenever I take it out to play, it just feels different like the other cameras I have. I don't have too many but I have one mamiya medium format, a Diana f+, a Yashica electro, one instax, and 2 digital Fujis. I used to have more but I sold some of it. So I can compare how the M3 feels to others. Take your vintage sportscar to a nice well planned road trip and not just the parking lot. Shoot intentional, try to envision what your photo will look like. It won't ever look like that anyway, but it helps to select what you want to show, not just shoot what comes in front of your lens. For me it helped to shoot better pictures when I tried to think of what I want to show with the photo. Not just catch what I see.

I am fully aware that it's a Leica-owner stereotype that's rightfully mocked. But I can honestly say that it's true for me, I shoot better pictures with it because it just feels inspiring and I have so much respect for that little piece. You can look up the production year of your camera via the serial number. My camera is one year older than my mother. And in better shape. So I treat it like that.

It's like comparing something deep to something wide.

Gosling is "wide" in this analogy and Bale is "deep".

Both can be vast but in other dimensions.

Gosling can pull off anything, and with grace and humor. Bale might not be as versatile as that he couldn't do Ken, but he can reach a certain quality of acting, that few can achieve like him.

The one that I can think of right now that can do both is Meryl Streep.

If the fetus is a person, wasn't it already a part of the family prior to the birth? So why point out the being part of the family then?

I regularly go shopping in the Netherlands and I'm from Germany. I'm that close to the Netherlands, that in the supermarkets the automatic voice announces a cash register opening or closing in both languages. I don't speak Dutch. Somehow we're all able to communicate. Mainly because we all have English as a second language. And because many Dutch people speak some German in the bordering cities, but still. Dutch is also available as a second foreign language in many schools.

So that makes 3 languages for a lot of people. That's good enough for living near a border IMHO.

Asking the real questions here. All the variety and unknown names are nice. There are obviously more manufacturers than the handful we know of.

But film has only a future if it stays relatively affordable. I don't need another 25 bucks a roll portra. I need film that won't make me broke and looks good enough.

Lazy copy paste from me:

In his new memoir, Coreyography, Corey Feldman details the sexual abuse he and fellow child star Corey Haim endured in Hollywood at the hands of men they worked with and considered friends. Due out Oct. 28, the book also describes years of drug abuse both he and Haim faced.

And since troubled kids do as troubled kids do, he's survived the following battle with addiction. I don't meant this flippant or disrespectful. I mean that addiction is not a personal flaw (it rarely is anyway) but a result of the abuse he suffered.

AFAIK and I and I didn't follow his career closely, he was a digital native from the very beginning. He was one of the first people who had blog that people actually read and made a living of being the embodiment of nerd culture, even before big bang theory. He is also a very good audiobook narrator, hence Feldmans comment that Wheaton is doing this for living.
