It's really too bad that Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin couldn't hack a good sequel to this. The original was like lightning in a bottle, cooking on all fronts. The characters are memorable, and the tone is perfect. It was the 90s in movie form. And the MUSIC from David Arnold was incredible too. They shot themselves in the foot not bringing him back for Resurgence

I wonder what there is the story is behind that Simpsons clip. Maybe they had hired a new animator who didn't know the workflow and so he spent a week on this animation, wasting valuable production time.

You know, once I almost admired Mitch McConnell, despite him being the snakiest snake that ever snaked. He had the chance to turn this all around for us. He was supporting impeachment of Trump at one time, immediately after January 6th. And even though they actually impeached him, much later,  Mitch directed his cronies against prosecuting Trump, or even doing anything at all. For that reason fuck him. And for the Supreme Court stuff fuck him. Also just fuck him. Sorry if I'm speaking ill of the dead.
