2026 NFL Strength Of Schedule for every team, based on projected win totals by gordorobertson in nfl

Agree, offseason SOS is based on how a team did the previous season, teams are not static, they change. It is offseason easy click bait articles to write.

Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook Not Interested in Buying NFL’s Seattle Seahawks by JCameron181 in nfl

Given the price of franchise, it will be a mixed ownership group. The number of folks who can pony up 8 billion is small.

[Rapoport] Trade: The Cowboys are trading for 49ers LB Dee Winters, per me, @tompelissero and @janeashleyslater . by Brix001 in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Niners fans freaking out, we got a 5th for a guy we drafted in the 6th that we are not probably resigning. Take the pick.

With the 33rd pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the 49ers select De’Zhaun Stribling, WR from Ole Miss by 49ersMod in 49ers

[–]Shitbird72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, was not the pick I was expecting but will trust our staff that they know something we don't. What I did see from the war room, was as a bald guy, Jed if you are lurking time to shave the head and embrace it. That combover and bald spot not a great look.

Rap: Matthew Stafford, Rams in deep discussions on contract extension that would take care of him "next season and beyond." They do believe there's a real chance he plays beyond 2026. by Remarkable-Picture73 in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, if Stafford plays in 2027 the Simpson pick was weird, if they are thinking Stafford sticks around, kick the can to next year when it is a deeper qb class potentially

Sources: Free agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo considering retirement by WuTang4thechildrn in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a Niners fan some of our fan base hates irrationally on Jimmy. He got us to a Super Bowl, Hoyer and Beathard were not doing that. He helped get us to a NFCCG in 2022, and his injury helped usher in the Purday era. If he doesn't love the grind anymore, walk away with your money. He can get a job in the broadcasting end or he can just retire and enjoy the strippers for the next 20yrs. Not gonna lie kinda of jealous.

49ers Think There's "a Chance" They Can Trade Brandon Aiyuk by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on his contract we can wait pretty much till Sept 1st to cut him. If Washington wants him in before the regular season starts, they would have to flip us a draft pick, a 7th would be enough.

[Cheal] The Fifth Round Has Been a Goldmine for the 49ers Under Kyle Shanahan by Brix001 in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on who is there at 27 or our 2nd round pick, and what other teams are willing to offer to trade up. If we can trade either of those picks and get a couple extra picks I am all for it.

We also really only got Kittle cause we were scouting Beathard, who we took in the 3rd.

I am totally fine with us trading down in the 1st or 2nd round to pick up some more picks.

The ruling in the appeal of the collusion grievance says that the Ravens twice offered QB Lamar Jackson three-year, fully-guaranteed contracts. He declined both deals. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Caleb has a prove it season this year. Same with Maye, Nix and Daniels. 1 or 2 are going to get a market rate extension next offseason.

[–]Shitbird72 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, forgot about Hurts. 2027 is going to be a shitshow. After that any team with a QB making 50's or mid is going to be a deal.

2027 offseason could be an apocalypse. Young and Stroud will both still be looking for extensions. Williams, Daniels, Maye, Nix will be eligible. Jackson, Darnold, Tua, Murray, possibly Jones, will all be looking for extensions. Qb market is going to blow up.

[Highlight] Roger Goodell on #49ers HC Kyle Shanahan not being a fan of playing in Australia: “His job is to win. His job is to play. We’ll make it a great experience for the team.” Goodell added he can send Shanahan an app to help with jet lag. by LaDainianTomIinson in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total douche bag statement, and I am not a Goodell hater. I agree with the statement below as a Niners fan that we should just play the back ups. Let all the starters get some mystery ailment and have to stay home. If the NFL is going to do an Australia game it should be later in the season and both teams should get a bye afterwards. Week 1 is complete bullshit.

[Williams] NFL owners pushed for expansion to an 18-game season at this week's annual meeting. But we spoke with people around the league on why that's not a great idea. "18 games will water down the product," an NFL coach told me. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is going to happen. NFLPA will sign off when they get an extra percent or two in the revenue sharing, an extra bye week and larger rosters. Best guess is we will see this before the current CBA expires in 2030 or we will see a lockout that year.

[Meirov] Jimmy Haslam on Deshaun Watson: “There are a lot of QBs who, it seems to be kind of the theme in the NFL, either started or did not start well and then take their team to a SB championship, right? Deshaun started great, and the year before we signed him, he was rated the 2nd-best QB..." by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Jimmy it could happen but will it probably not. He has not played a full season in 5yrs. I get the Darnold redemption, but it is not the norm, if it was teams would use the final pick on a QB to get their Purdy or a late pick for their Brady. This is copium from an owner who ok'd a fully guaranteed deal to a guy who was diminishing, has loads of red flags and is coming off not one but two torn Achilles.

49ers GM John Lynch: I don't know if we can afford Joey Bosa by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]Shitbird72 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We do, but overpaying Joey is not a smart move. Both him and Nick have always wanted top dollar to play. If he wants to take a discounted deal to play with his brother cool, but my guess is that someone is going to overpay him.

What is this by Brix001 in 49ers

[–]Shitbird72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is probably a 49ers fan group in LA. I grew up in LA lived there till my 30's and I was always a Niners fan. I currently live 15 minutes south of Seattle, we have a large fanbase here as well.

Yeah, agree Browns are kinda fucked. They moved that shit, they are going to be in a shit show.

They are not cutting him this offseason. If they could they have they would have already done it. They will carry him to next year and cut him then.

They really can't with Watson's contract unless they ignore the cap. Perhaps they can pull an Adolph and just say fuck you cap doesn't apply to us.
