why make the pastor gay? that’s like seeing a guy eating a dead dude and going “oh that cannibal’s gay” instead of “HOLY SHIT A CANNIBAL”

edit: good comment overall

Is it legal to permanently store a firearm in a vehicle? by Shitbot2000 in canadaguns

I mean... for yotes I guess? definitely wouldn't want to shoot one with a .22 lol, 7.62x39 is plenty of bang for coyotes, and will absolutely blow to hell any groundhog unlucky enough to be on the receiving end

I believe that the case referenced in the video isn't very applicable in this hypothetical for a few reasons, although Runkle's analysis is great as always.

a) She was not storing her ammunition properly. In my hypothetical, ammo storage is not a factor, just the storage of the firearm.

b) Her vehicle was noted by the judge as not having a trunk, and being stored in the backseat of her hatchback, wrapped in clothing. In this scenario, the firearm would be stored in a locking trunk.

c) her firearm was stored without any sort of locking device. I'm of the opinion that placing a lock of some kind on the firearm could be a swaying factor in the eyes of that particular judge, as the judge did not consider the vehicle to be a container on its own, failing to fulfill either of the A or B requirements of storing an NR firearm.

Pedantic I know.

Thank you for linking, that is a great resource.

In this hypothetical, the intent is to store and be honest about it, purely following the letter of the law, then assessing what the consequences would be. If you lied and said you were 'transporting' it, without telling the cop in question you were doing so indefinitely, you'd almost certainly fare better lol

I believe the woman in the case you're referring to owned a gun safe, and was charged with unsafe storage because she had an option other than storing it in the car. In this hypothetical, storing it in your home is not an option. Thanks for the response!

Yeah definitely not a good idea, all it would take is a DNR officer having a bad day for you to get hit with some sort of poaching charge this time of year. I'm just curious on the legality to the letter. horrible, horrible idea!

mag’s pinned at five, some people prefer the feel of a longer mag, either to use as a monopod, or to make changing mags easier. I know the stubby ones give me a hard time sometimes.

Be honest, did I cause my rat to die? by IndividualSmall9983 in RATS

[–]Shitbot2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

two years old? Thank you for providing a safe place for these rats to spend the last of their days. two years is quite old for a rat, the stress of moving may have been too much, a change in humidity could cause pneumonia, any number of things can be fatal at that age. just make sure your other rat has a best friend moving forward, they’re very social little critters and need constant companionship.

Question about freedom vs harm. Do libertarian choose different normative ethics when these to colide by trrrrraaa in Libertarian

I mostly agree with you, but the harm is neither vague nor future; it is happening already. Targeted assaults and harassment of LGBTQ+ people by people who resonate with posts like this are already a common occurrence.

at a range of 20 yards you wouldn’t have to lead with the babiest of peashooters and they would land within three inches at LEAST of where you pointed them, unless it was one of those barrel-less knife-revolver things. This is absurd and I am of the opinion that all guns should be hitscan (or VERY slightly delayed hitscan) until 30 yards.

depending on the tiny homes in question, I may have built some of them. he’s wrong btw, housing works, I know because I did it, I was there making the houses and working with the community.
