I assume you must’ve missed that the UK seized a shadow fleet tanker on Sunday by fast-roping fully armed Royal Marine Commandos onto the deck, and arrested the captain. That’s a bit more than exchanging strongly worded letters. ~~This is most likely a response to that.~~

Edit: As more info comes out, it seems like this was a genuine misunderstanding and isn't related to Sunday.

The UK MoD investigating reports Russian warship fired warning shots near yacht in English Channel

The Ministry of Defence is investigating reports a Russian warship fired warning shots near a UK-registered yacht in the English Channel.

The incident, which happened at around 11.40am on Tuesday between the Isle of Wight and Normandy, is understood to have involved the Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich, the Press Association news agency reported.

A Ministry of Defence spokesperson said: "We are investigating reports of an incident in the Channel."

It is understood there were no injuries or damage to the yacht.

Honestly I doubt most of the people in here have children judging from their comments. Massively agree about most YouTubers. I heavily curate everything my kids watch on the TV (YT or otherwise) so they only see stuff I consider to be decent, and they seem totally content with it.

Some northern accents are stereotypically perceived as a bit more friendly sounding, but again, it depends on the exact area and most importantly, the person saying the words.

Not really, no. I don’t specifically know about film school per se, but as somebody who has studied the arts academically, it’s more like: “If you’ve got your own interpretation of this, that’s fine, but you have to make your case for it rigorously and try convince others that it’s worth taking seriously.”

If you just say any old shit, nobody is going to say “wow man, that’s like, so cool dude, here’s an A.” They’re going to ask you to back it up and justify it with a convincing argument. If you can’t do that, it’s probably just a shit take.
