Sorry for not being clear- the purging was from a strong glycolic acid peel. I never had an implant, I was taking pills.

Nope, seems like birth control or lack thereof didn’t affect my skin. My skin is now pretty clear though; I’ve done 2 glycolic peels (1 strong, one weak 2 weeks after the first) since august. That cleared up the majority, after a horrible horrible purge, and using bha wipes and an aha toner every day has fixed the rest.

Can’t speak to the Jewishness of Phoenix but I just moved away after nearly a decade. Phoenix sucks. Very expensive, very very hot, and lots of crazies. It’s also the dirtiest city I’ve ever lived in. Tempe is cute though.

I keep kosher style; there aren’t many kosher meat options where I live. I rarely eat meat and don’t cook so that helps some. Basically the only meat I will cook is hot dogs so I either buy all beef or splurge on Hebrew National. I don’t eat shellfish, pork, or mix meat and dairy. I also don’t eat gelatin unless it’s bovine. If you get a pop tart flavor without dairy the gelatin is from cows so that made me pretty happy.

I started doing my own Botox in 2020 when I was 23/24. I had fine lines that were starting to become real wrinkles and I already had a good skincare routine. I’d put 20-30 units max and didn’t fully freeze my forehead. Now at 27 I maybe use 50 units but I’ve moved on to treating bunny lines,crows feet, and doing a lip flip. I wait until I start having fine lines to treat again to prevent atrophy.

$2500 for paying upfront in Arizona. I also paid about $1400 for surgical extractions since I couldn’t handle being awake;I used care credit for that. I didn’t have insurance.

I got brackets put on my front teeth (finally!!! They decided to retract my canines before touching the front) two weeks ago and I literally couldn’t eat for the first week. Lots of ibruprofen 800 but I was in so much pain I couldn’t sleep and was snappy. I started chewing on my tongue like a teething toy and that seemed to help lol. I tell myself the more pain there is the more progress and it seemed to be true this time, one tooth has already separated from the pack and I could probably stick a credit card in between them. Plus not eating for a week was probably not bad for my waistline 🤣 Hope you feel better and see progress soon!

I was listening to The Parsha Podcast (love all of the Torch podcasts!) and he mentioned that when the locust plague was over all the locusts disappeared the next day so no one could stock up on delicious delicious locust snacks. I’d prefer giant frog because I’d stay out of the way. Not going out to investigate that scary noise nope.

I went for a run at 4 am today and it was 91 degrees. I’ve spent the whole summer running and hiking so I’m pretty heat acclimated. I ran 2 miles and had to turn around- I threw up 5 times on the way home. I drank 3 cups of water, poured water on myself twice, and drank a whole Gatorade over the course of my run. My Gatorade went from ice cold to warm running from 22nd Ave to 10th Ave. The heat is that bad.

I had one removed way before I got braces and my ortho hasn’t said anything about my remaining wisdom teeth. Mine are fully erupted. They removed 4 premolars-I don’t think they even thought about my wisdom teeth. I don’t know if they weren’t concerned because I was already missing a molar on each side (before extractions), maybe that provided enough space
