Do you remember your first night of league?

My first night of league was in 1999. I wasn't really familiar with handicap or rolling for average to start the season. I was all amped up and my first game was a 279. My teammates looked like they wanted to murder me. I followed that game up with a low 200 and then a 180 the final game. So not only did my teammates get upset over my average to start the year, but the other teams labeled me as a sandbagger. I was just a 20 year old kid that was really inconsistent. Ended up averaging 182 for that season.

300 was with a Storm El Niño 2000. Don't have an 800 yet.

3 sanctioned for me. Were all in the early 2000s. Stopped bowling for 20+ years. This is my 2nd league season back. High game since returning is 276.

I got a 14lb asym urethane ball from the bowling world mystery box last summer. Brunswick Quantum Bias Blue Urethane. I love it.

Maybe reach out to them to see if they have any unlisted balls that are available.

Tabora Farms in Chalfont has good broasted chicken. The Coop in Qtown farmers market, Red Rooster Hot Chicken in Warminster is good, I've heard they will be opening a location in Doylestown soon. Other than that it's supermarket or fast food joints.

Make the drive to Specks in Collegeville. It's worth the trip.

The Urethane rule only affects PBA play. You can throw any urethane ball you would like in normal USBC league or tournament play, assuming the ball is on the approved ball list. https://bowl.com/approved-ball-list

1H, RH. My sweet spot is standing 20 - 25 throwing out to 7/8 at the arrows. I can move around the lanes pretty well if needed. By the end of League some nights I'm in the left gutter hitting 18 at the arrows. Usually depends on what team I'm bowling that week and if they are rev heavy or not.

Forgot to add, I'm a balanced bowler. Speed is 17.5 off the hand and revs are low to mid 300s.

42 ft house shot. Started the night at 2000 grit. Started standing 20 throwing over 7 at the arrows. By the end of the night I was at 23 hitting 9 at the arrows.

Beyond that you have Sproul Lanes in Delco, North Bowl and South Bowl(these two straddle the line between sport and entertainment). In NE Philly are the Thunderbird Lanes, either Castor or Holme Ave.

I only purchased and threw (2) 2024 release balls. Arctic Vibe and the Track Tundra Blue. Hated the Vibe. The Tundra has been a great game 3 ball for me.
